This movie wins the award for best title of the year, because when I read I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With I think, "Who doesn't?" It's truly universal. The screenplay was written by "Curb Your Enthusiasm"'s Jeff Garlin, who also put himself in the lead role as a luckless Joe-schmoe who just wants to meet someone to... well, you know.
Sarah Silverman costars as a quirky love interest for Garlin's character and from the preview she's more cute-funny than obnoxious-funny, which is refreshing. Bonnie Hunt and Amy Sedaris also have roles in the film, and I must say, the trailer's funniest parts center on the three ladies much more so than the moments featuring Garlin's character. I'm not convinced Garlin is leading-man material — even when playing a schlub — but I'm still interested to see this romantic comedy when it opens (in limited release) this week.
