The Modern Family Kids: Then and Now

Modern Family is gearing up for its season seven finale, and we can hardly believe that the Tucker-Pritchett-Delgado-Dunphy clan has come this far — and is still endlessly hilarious. While we mostly give it up to the adult characters (like cool dad Phil, over-the-top Gloria, and wonderfully silly Cam), the kids are a huge part of what makes the show so good. But watching this season, you must have had the same thought — those kids have grown up so much! How much? We rounded up their season one pictures to contrast with their seven-years-later shots.

Lily, Then

Here's Aubrey Anderson-Emmons when she first joined the series back in season three. Just bask in the cuteness.

Lily, Now

Even though Anderson-Emmons wasn't the first Lily (who was played by babies Ella and Jaden Hiller), this is now the 8-year-old's fifth season on the show.

Luke, Then

Aw, and here's the adorable Nolan Gould back in 2009 in the first season.

Gould, who plays the youngest Dunphy kid, has grown up so much! He's now 17.

Alex, Then

Ariel Winter, who plays middle Dunphy kid Alex (aka the family genius), was so ridiculously cute.

Winter still plays the family genius, but now she's a grown adult at 18 years old.

Manny, Then

Here Rico Rodriguez is in 2009 at just 10! Gloria's baby was actually a baby then (OK, a child-baby).

Manny, Now

As Manny, Rodriguez has adjusted to life in a blended family and has become a big brother over the course of the show's seven seasons. Rodriguez is just one year younger than his costar Winter, at 17 years old.

Hayley, Then

Back in '09, sweet little Hayley was still boy crazy but a bit more innocent.

Hayley, Now

Big sister Hayley is supposed to be college-age, even though she still lives at home. Actress Sarah Hyland is actually 25.
