Silence of the Lambs over Texas Chainsaw Massacre? really? You people are wimps
1Leslie I too couldn't believe Silence of the Lambs beat Chainsaw Massacre! I think it will be between Exorcist & The Shining, definitely both terrifying movies.
2definitely! I really shouldn't care who wins, but the Exorcist and the Shining are both great, terrifying movies.
3I can't believe IT is in the final 4...that movie is hilarious!!! Tim Curry's Pennywise has wise-cracks and one-liners for DAYS!!!!
I can, however, definitely see The Exorcist and The Shining being in the top two.
4When was the last time people saw IT? It's not that scary, and it gets stupid, fast. Granted, the scenes with the kids (RIP John Brandeis) were pretty scary, but the second half, miserable. Awful. The spider? get real
But clowns are scary, I'll give 'em that.
5Yeah I think Texas Chainsaw Massacre would be scarier than Silence of the Lambs. I have seen most of Silence of the Lambs and it wasn't too bad...TCM on the other hand, I don't think I would be able to stomach it.
It's pretty obvious that The Exorcist is going to win. The Shining is more of a psychological thriller than a horror movie in my opinion.
