Matthew McConaughey Has a Fun Rule For Red Carpet Dressing

Matthew McConaughey was being celebrated at this year's Oscar Nominees Luncheon, and when it came time for him to answer some questions from reporters, it's no surprise that he was asked about his red carpet style. McConaughey good-naturedly told the room, "I have been having a good time! This season there's been a lot of opportunity to wear a lot of nice things, so I did say, 'You know what? Let's get some fine suits.'" McConaughey added that he got a bit of inspiration at a photo shoot where he worked with someone to find some award-season duds, and he laid out his red carpet dressing rule: "Throw it off just a little bit, but also keep it classy."

As for how he's going to celebrate if he wins best actor, McConaughey didn't want to jinx himself: "Oh, I haven't thought that far ahead! I'm going to celebrate no matter what. I am already in celebration mode; I'm going to enjoy this. This is my first time being nominated, and if I ever get nominated again, who knows? But there's never going to be another first time."
