Alex Cross Trailer: Matthew Fox Is a Psycho Killer

As much as I'd love to make a Lost joke about Matthew Fox in this trailer for Alex Cross, I can't, because his character in the thriller couldn't be more different than the good doctor Jack Shephard.

As much as I'd love to make a Lost joke about Matthew Fox in this trailer for Alex Cross, I can't, because his character in the thriller couldn't be more different than the good doctor Jack Shephard. In the big-screen adaptation of the James Patterson novel, Fox plays a serial killer known as Picasso who becomes a target of FBI profiler Alex Cross (Tyler Perry). First this Picasso fellow starts littering the city with grisly crime scenes, but he soon makes things personal when he sets his sights on Cross's family.

I'm terrified to see Fox as a muscled-up psychopath who utters things like, "Inflicting pain is a crucial part of my true calling," but I'm also a little curious, too (same goes for seeing Perry out of Madea's muumuus). Still, the movie looks like your run-of-mill crime thriller and not as great as the previous Patterson film adaptations (Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider), in which Morgan Freeman portrayed literary detective Cross. You can check out the movie for yourself on Oct. 19, and until then, watch the trailer after the jump.

Diane Kruger Scores a High-Five For Her Number One Film

Diane Kruger was one of the guests on hand for a taping of The Graham Norton Show in London yesterday.

Diane Kruger was one of the guests on hand for a taping of The Graham Norton Show in London yesterday. The actress chose another chic black and white ensemble for the episode, which airs on the BBC this Friday. She shared the couch with Lost's Matthew Fox, even at one point sharing a high five. Diane was in the UK after a quick stop in Germany where she attended the Berlin Film Festival premiere of her movie Unknown. She was in California just last week to promote the film at the West Coast screening, and all her hard work paid off when the project took the top spot at the weekend box office. She's rolling solo on her current trip abroad; however, she had her handsome Valentine, Joshua Jackson, by her side last month on a romantic Cabo vacation.

Who Should Win the Emmy For Best Lead Actor, Drama?

As we continue to break down this year's Emmy nominees, it's time to take a step up from supporting actors and actresses and take a closer look at the leads.

As we continue to break down this year's Emmy nominees, it's time to take a step up from supporting actors and actresses and take a closer look at the leads. The race for best lead actor in a drama is a pack of heavy hitters to say the least; four of these guys have been nominated in their roles before!

Let's start with the newcomers: Matthew Fox scored his first nod for the final season of Lost, while Kyle Chandler's name appears for the first time after being overlooked in past years for Friday Night Lights. This marks Hugh Laurie's fifth nomination for House and Bryan Cranston's third for Breaking Bad (Cranston is also undefeated thus far!). Michael C. Hall and Jon Hamm also have three nods apiece for Dexter and Mad Men, respectively.

The competition is so fierce even I'm having trouble figuring out who deserves the trophy. That's why I need you all to weigh in and help me decide: state your case for the man that deserves the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a drama series!

Nicole Kidman, Ryan Phillippe, and Eva Longoria got dressed up and headed to the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills earlier today for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual grant luncheon. They were joined by a few famous Emmy nominees like Jane Lynch and Matthew Fox. Matthew talked to us about the possibility of a Lost movie while Buzz has high hopes for his costars on award night. The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons shared a few secrets about the upcoming season of his show, revealing that the premiere will fast-forward six months into the future and there will be a possible love match with Mayim Bialik from Blossom! The ladies rushed in to get into their seats on time, though Nicole looked stunning in her green, tea-length Prada dress and Eva in her sexy, black sheath Gucci number.
