Mad Men is is taking home the Emmy for outstanding drama series for the third year in a row! It beat out Breaking Bad, True Blood, Lost, Dexter, and The Good Wife.

Mad Men was amazing this past year. I didn't watch any of the other shows nominated so I can't say that any other show deserved it other than the one I actually watch. It's a brilliant show and the Kennedy episode as well as the finale were good enough to me for them to win.

LOST definitely deserved to win this year. If not for the sentiment of it then for the fact that it so brilliantly brought together action, drama, science fiction, and a touch of comedy (more so in the earlier seasons). It's sad to see such a smart and original show go out without any real recognition :( . Maybe the members of the panel were too thick to fully grasp the premise of it. But if they say so, I might as well give mad men a shot now.

Dexter, Breaking Bad, and Man Men are all pretty equally good in my eyes (with maybe a slight, teeny tiny edge to Mad Men). I think these are possibly three of the greatest shows of all time. (No, I'm not exaggerating, I really think that.) It would have been nice to see one of the other shows get recognition, but I'm still OK with Mad Men winning. I understand the sentimentality behind the desire for a Lost win, but, IMO, it's just not on the same level as the other three. (And I'd hardly call it a tragedy that a TV show didn't win an award!)

Mad Men is a great show but this year belonged to LOST. What a tragedy that they went out without any recognition.

The premise of Mad Men sounds so boring. I started watching it randomly a few weeks ago, and have bought Season 1 and Season 2. I watched both right away. This show is so weirdly addicting. Plus, I love the early 1960s clothing. I like how when they set forth to make a show about the 1960s they didn't pick the obvious hippie subculture. This show is an honest take on how sexist and racist the 60s were, and the obstacles the country over came. It also reminds us of sexism and racism that persists.
