"Lost" Fans: What Do You Think Ben's Fate Will Be?

When last we left our "Lost" comrades, Jack was using Ben's life as a bargaining chip for his friends' freedom: mid-operation, he said he would save Ben's life only if Kate and Sawyer were freed. Otherwise, he would let Ben die on the table. In the preview for this week's episode, Juliette seems to doubt Jack's ability to just let Ben die. What do you think Ben's fate will be?

Ben can't die right now- I'd doubt they'd make him a season regular if he'll only last 7 episodes (the writers couldn't be that cruel). I think Ben's safe for a while, at least until closer to the end of this season. I think Jack's bluffing anyway. He'd never just let Ben die. Jack's too sensitive for that type of move. He cries (or gets teary-eyed about something) every other episode.

I think Jack will resume the operation with the full intention of completing it correctly and letting Ben live, but something unforseen will happen resulting in Ben's death. Unfortunately, I think it is time to say good bye to our great villan, since there is really no way that Jack, Sawyer and Ben all live through this. And since I'm pretty sure that neither Jack or Sawyer are leaving us, I think it's going to end up being Ben, sadly. He's such a great character.
