Bright Eyes and Neva Dinova are reissuing their 2004 EP One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels on March 23, complete with four brand-new collaborative tracks — including this one sung by Conor Oberst.
Titled "Happy Accident," it starts with a delicate xylophone sound that builds up to a raucous, clanging ending (with some guitar plucking in the middle for good measure). The lyrics' message (or at least my personal takeaway): finding happiness once you accept life for what it is, instead of holding on to unattainable ideals. Deep stuff. Mainly, I'm just loving Oberst's voice here. Take a listen, and tell me what you think when you read more.
