Rob Marshall's long anticipated movie musical Nine won't hit theaters until December, and I'm practically counting the minutes until I can see all the talented ladies (Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, the list goes on) singing and dancing with Daniel-Day Lewis. The songs are showstoppers for sure, and now you can have a taste of the upcoming soundtrack. Give a listen to Fergie singing "Be Italian," one of the show's biggest numbers, and tell me what you think — nailed it or not impressed?

I'm in between. I think she sounds great but the accent is a little silly. If I hadn't known that was her the accent would not sound as bad, but knowing it's Fergie "pee pants" it makes me laugh like a 14 year old boy. (I know I am terrible).
1I'm Italian and I like it
2I enjoyed it. I was expecting to hear the pop sounding Fergie but it sounds like she changed her voice to fit the song.
3I'm not really that impressed. I'm a die-hard broadway enthusiast and she just doesn't seem to have it with the accent. I think it would've been better without the accent but it really just makes her sounds silly. But who knows maybe the scene will blow me away and I'll fall in love. But for now she should stick to pop.
4i'm also in between. she sounds great but i too am iffy about the accent.. something about it is just off.
5if I didn't know it was Fergie, I would have no question about being impressed. I have seen the trailer and heard this song not knowing it was her and thought it sounded great. Hopefully, she'll surprise everyone
6Fergie sounds amazing. People are giving her great reviews in previews. Her range is amazing and she holds those notes great! The role is a silly role, if you listen to the broadway version is is kind of comedic. But everything Iam reading is saying how Fergie was amazing in the role. The hate for her is ridiculous. She has a great voice,. Way better than boring Beyonce in Dreamgirls.
7I'm mostly impressed, but there are a few spots where Fergie slips back into her "pop" style, which really breaks the mood for me.
8The song is perfect. And Fergie is great!! By the way, i be italian
9it doesn't sound italian to me but much more stereotype RUSSIAN.
is it just me?
10I like her style in this song. She's really amazing. The song is great .I can hear something come from Russia.
11I am very impressed. I also didn't know it was Fergie when I first saw the trailer. I think she did a fantastic job singing that song. And I am pretty picky when it comes to singing.
12I just saw the movie "NINE" and I can tell you Fergie hits it on the head!
13Great movie and the Fergie leaves movie goers with the song Be Italian.
I highly recommend the movie. It is one of the ten best of the year.
I feel like I'm listening to a person trying to sound like the old Count Dracula. The most horrible Italian accent ever. Just as bad as Pacino doing his Cuban accent in Scarface...SIMPLY ATROCIOUS!!!!
14I''ve seen the movie, The scene with Fergie was odd with the little boys, This song and dance was the best part of the movie. I am a fan of every actor in the movie and i was disappointed:(
15I love it, but she sounds russian to me.
16aaawwww c'mon give fergie a break. look at the transition she has made...from the little girl with the big voice on kids inc in the 80's(yes i watched it) to the ridiculously vulgar "my humps" to tackling a film version of broadway. THAT'S what's impressive to me. how she has grown as an artist. sure she's not a great actress, but she gave it a good shot and i think she is to be commended. besides, it looks like she had a blast with the role. isn't that what it's all about?
17fergie has the talent and the potential to blow us all away. give her the chance to do so. if not this project, i'm positive there will be many others. she's becoming a force to be reckoned with.
