Linklater's Next Rom-Com to Include Obama's Inauguration

Not one year after the fact, President Obama's inauguration is being incorporated into a romantic comedy to be directed by Richard Linklater. The Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise, and School of Rock director will next helm Liars (A-E), a script written by Emma Forrest (who used to date Colin Farrell). The movie "is a romantic comedy about a woman who, on the way to President Obama's inauguration, retrieves lost items from her ex-boyfriends." Gotta wonder if some of these items are inspired by Farrell. . . .

No casting news on the protagonist, though Kat Dennings is reportedly on board to play the woman's friend. I wonder how Obama's inauguration and/or politics in general will play into the narrative here. Forrest could have chosen any number of events or locations as the protagonist's destination — why the inauguration? I'll be interested to find out.
