Leonardo DiCaprio and Ridley Scott to Team Up For The Wolf of Wall Street
Wolf of Wall Street Resurrects With Leonardo DiCaprio
As if Leonardo DiCaprio didn't already have enough on his plate, his long-delayed project The Wolf of Wall Street is getting pushed into the foreground again with some help from Ridley Scott. Scott is looking to helm the film, which has been sitting idle for over three years; Martin Scorsese will move from his original role as director into producer duties.
To refresh, Wolf is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir about his days as a stockbroker in the '90s, as he was called to cooperate in a securities fraud case. Full of decadence, corruption, and jail time, it's a tale that feels even more timely now in this post-Bernie Madoff climate. Perhaps waiting to get it up on the big screen was a good move, after all.
