We all remember Kellan Lutz [1] from his breakthrough role as Edward's brother in Twilight [2], but now he's going from vampire to divine hero. Lutz plays Hercules himself in The Legend of Hercules, a new origin story that follows his journey from mortal to demigod, opening this week. We've already seen those muscles on display in the Legend of Hercules trailer [3], but now we've got a better look at the film with a batch of pictures from the epic adventure — and, yes, a closer look at those abs.
Lutz makes a legendary Hercules.
Hercules and his lady (Gaia Weiss) wade into some water.
Hercules establishes his dominance.
But he also has a soft side.
Hercules has an impressive ability to leap multiple feet off the ground.
He heads up an ominous army.
Lutz is 100 percent badass.
Don't challenge this guy.
I'm not totally sure how he gets out of this.
The gladiator stadium is quite intimidating, unless your name is Hercules.
No chains can hold Hercules!
He shows off his spear-tossing abilities.
Now that's an impressive action shot.
He enters the ring.
He dominates.
Even in the rain, he's the ultimate gladiator.
He's a godly swimmer.
