I thought Kris and Adam sounded great together on the Queen song.
I also think it would help end the fan war between the two groups.

I thought they sounded great on the Queen song and also on I Will Remember You, but if they record togehter it'd have to be a very special song, b/c it would be very hard to find something that they both can sing and do well. But it would be cool if they wrote a song together on tour or something

But I also think that when they said this, they were mostly joking. Idk, they've gotten that Q so many times, maybe they just wanted to say something different.

People in the audience who heard them sing with Queen remarked at how much stronger and better Adam’s voice was. You did not here Queen offering Kris an opportunity to sing with them. The professional are blown away by Adam as they should be based on his talent and training. Kris and Adam are friends but musically Kris is ordinary and he does not have stage presence or showmanship. What would he bring to the table? Cute only goes so far and to me he is a mousey little man. Why should Adam record with someone who will diminish the finished product?

Whoever said "they would have to pick a song they could both sing", who are you talking about? Adam can sing anything. Kris has poor timing and struggles vocally because of his limited range. I would much rather hear Adam teamed with Madonna or some other real entertainer.

Darcey, they each have their strengths. Adam's live version of No Boundaries was just bad. Even his biggest fan, Simon Cowell, had to admit as much, when he said he hoped Adam wouldn't be judged by that performance.
If they choose the right song, they can compliment each other. Also, what does 'showmanship' have to do with a recording? Unless it is a video, the answer is 'nothing'.

It might be difficult to find the right song to merge their two voices. Adam's voice is a powerhouse. Kris is softer, weaker. When they performed with Queen you could tell Adam was holding back, trying hard not to drown out Kris. The fact that it didn't work was not Adam's fault. As Slash of Guns & Roses said, "Adam's got a great set of pipes..."

Both performances of No Boundaries were terrible. Kris was no better than Adam IMO. But at least Adam didn't forget the words!

Count me as another fan who thinks it would be impossible for these two voices to compliment one another. I couldn't even hear Allen during the Queen number. And even during the final Ford Commercial to I Will Remember You, once Adam Lambert let loose, Kris Allen wasn't even in the picture.

Adam thinks Kris is very talented. I will never understand why Adam's fans are so threatened by Kris that they have to be abominably mean spirited.
Kris and Adam respect each other. Adam even said that they were so different, it would be impossible to choose who is 'better'. It is a shame his fans can't respect his opinion.

Adam and Kris have a great passion for music. That and their friendship make for beautiful music....

Adam and Kris were great doing "We Are the Champions" with Queen. Adam was obviously the shinning star, but they were so cute together and it meshed well. Their camaraderie showed through and it was such a great moment. They are two terrific guys. I adore Adam and would love for Kris to be able to make it too in the music biz.

Sure, they can do a duet, though I prefer to listen Adam's vocals. Not sure why I would want to listen to the vocals of Kris. I wouldn't mind that they do a duet if that is indeed they want to do. The collaboration would be a very favorable move for Kris.

I'm a fan of American Idol and I happen to believe that Adam Lambert was the best contestant this season. His vocals are amazing, soaring, and stronger than anyone in the competition this season, or perhaps ever in AI's history. I believe during the Queen number (and I Will Remember You) Lambert held back. I believe he drowned out Kris Allen both times. And I also believe when you put Adam's voice with anyone's, save perhaps Allison this season, there are going to be problems. For that reason I believe it will be tough to find the right tune to compliment both voices. And my comment wasn't mean spirited. IMO the mean spirited comment came from the Kris fan above you called Adam Lambert a "screamer".

An Adam-Kris would be okay. This would be a good professional move for Kris to ride Adam's coattail. A more powerful and more-than-likely collaboration is the Adam-Allison duet.

I don't think Adam fans and Kris fans need to compete. Though I agree Adam is by far more "Super Star" material and his voice is exceptional by any standards. Kris is adorable and like Jason Mraz and John Meyer will have his own audiance. I like both styles and see them as very different for different times. Can't compare Jason Mraz and Freddie Mercury - just too different! I think it is the same deal. The world knows who the mega star is, but still makes room for the others. They are both very gracious and decent people and I wish them both success. They are not competing and no reason for fans to.

OMG! Yes the Allison and Adam duet would be great! They were so good in "Slow Ride" and they actually do compliment each other big time. That would be well worth it!! Allison could even show up at Adam's performances and they could sing a song or two because they are fun to watch together. Sorry to change the subject, but Allison and Adam are a great idea.

vadas, Just because I adore Adam and respect his opinion does not mean I am of the same opinion. I think Kris seems like a nice guy. I am not into his singing. Sorry, it just doesn't do anything for me. I sure don't feel threatened by Kris. I'm not being mean, I am just stating my opinion. I also think it is great Kris and Adam are friends.

I cannot wait for the Idol tour to start. I am positive that Adam will steal the show night after night. Please do not use Adam’s statements about Kris’s “talent” as proof that Kris is talented. Kris does not have any “strengths” as a singer. He may be a nice guy in a backward state kind of way, but he is ordinary as a musician and entertainer. The tour will tell who the next World Superstar will be. Sure Kris would be smart to record with him.

You guys actually think that Kris did a "great" job during QUEEN performance??? Come on, people.....Haven't u just noticed how Kris screwed up the begining, and how Adam pulled the whole song back by his powerful vocal?....Wake up, guys...Doing a duet is only gonna make Kris's clumsy voice fade and lost in Adam's incredibly strong vocals.

How loud you hear each singer is controlled by the guy behind the sound board.
It is laughable that you seem to think they were singing without microphones or sound control. If Adam drowns out Kris while both are being controlled, then blame the sound mixer for not doing his job. That was not the case here, as both were clearly heard throughout the song. I suppose someone with no vocal training might have more trouble separating the voices.

The contrast between Adam and Kris's voices would work awesomely on a duet.

Adam-Kris duet? It can work with the right song and with Adam's vocal's coming down a few levels down as to not overwhelm Kris'. Kris should consider increasing his association with the likes of Jason Mraz, John Meyer, Kris Urban - all established artists who can help Kris some guidance. Besides, Kris has 19 Recordings to help him the first year. Hey, remember Taylor Hicks? Hey, at least he has shown adaptability (i.e., "Grease") which I think will allow Taylor for more growth & success professionally. Going back to duets...the Adam-Allison would be a great success - each with undeniably strong vocal range and skills that can be useful in hard rock and slow ballad duets, whether it be studio or live recordings. IMO Allison has that voice that will allow her to be an icon in the music industry for many years. With maturity, I think she can even dabble with the broadway stage (musicals). There's several AI8 contestants who will achieve a level of success in the music industry. What's certain is that AI8 has that one SuperStar...Adam Lambert!

I can't see this being a match. Adam is just far superior vocally. They are in totally different leagues.

I think it could be very interesting. I love the 2 voices and found them not a bad match on the Champions' song. Contrast is interesting and if the song is good, it could be great.

Sorry Vadas, I know it's hard for you to believe, but some people just naturally have stronger, louder, more dominant voices than others. The sound board can lower Adam's microphone. It can't lower Adam's vocal strength. I was in the audience that evening and you couldn't hear Kris. Seriously.

I think a duet would be great! They did so amazing on the ford commercial, so I think they can mesh up their voices really well together! And to all the people saying that Adam is too good for Kris, seriously need a wake up call. Kris Allen WON American Idol. And he is an amazing singer, and to Darcey, Adam got offered that because he sings their type of music. Seriously come up with a better excuse. Even the best singers in the industry and song writers are very impressed with Kris, and I think they can judge better than you. It's getting rather pathetic with all these comparisons. They have different styles, and each can master their genre amazingly.

Winning American Idol doesn't make Kris Allen the best singer in the competition. It makes him very, very, lucky that he had the "right" vote behind him. IMO his voice is mediocre at best.

Sure, why not? I wish people will cut the crap about who's better or who's ordinary. They are just too different to be compared. Kris was brilliant with Keith Urban, can I see Adam singing with Keith credibly? No way. And Kris singing with Kiss? Absolutely not. The Queen gig was more for Adam, 19E and AI love the guy, they thought he was gonna win. This is the first time that they released the runnner up's version of the crowning song (NB), they thought Adam can take it higher in the charts but he did not. Blame it on the song, I guess. If they can write a song where KRADAM can meet halfway, it will work because both have the passion for great music. That's what counts.

Kris riding on Adam's coat tails? For cryin' out loud. Adam was the one who said, in Rolling Stone no less, that he finds Kris attractive and was distracted by the fact that they were going to share the same room. Since then, Kris has been very tactful in answering questions from the media, careful not to offend Adam. I don't see Kris creating stories about himself to attract news, he's too modest. BTW, I have been following AI since Season 4 and for me Kris and Adam are the best top 2. It's just too sad that their fans are fighting, even though the two are friends.

They sang "I will remember you" for the last Ford commercial and it was absolutely fantastic...I hope they do this song and many many more #KRADAM FTW

If they write a good song together it would fit both of their voices. They are both talented artists - I don't see a problem with this at all. I liked when they sang together on the Queen duet and in the Ford commercial.

Adam can sing anything, with anybody and it would be great. I'll pay for anything Adam. I'm afraid he has way too many choices to make because the biggest stars of today will be banging down the door to record with him.

Advice: okay, if they do a duet together it should be a stripped down acoustic guitar playing number w/ Kris' guitar and Adam leading the vocals in a more subdued tone. The most important thing would be their message. A message about embracing each other despite differences...being brave to live free and being your true self!

I don't want Kris to be associated with Adam in anyway. Adam is trying to create the couple situation with them both to get publicity for himself. I don't see him managing to hook up with any celebrity in the future so he is taking advantage of the situation. Kris can do so much better than him. And anyway I don't really like Adam's voice, he sounds like a girl with the theatrical over the top voice. The warm, sexy vocals of Kris are what I would want to listen.

Kris sounds awesome....I love hearing his voice! A live duet would be okay with Adam but not a studio recorded. Adam's voice is not radio friendly at all...

I really think adam is way better than kris and kris is very smart that he wants to have a record with adam. and i think adam shouldn't do ANY THING with kris. please adam please.and I am happy to see this guys together. but adam please do not have a song with kris .it's a huge mistake.

I only want to hear Adam sing. I don't care for Kris at all. He seems like a nice guy, but I don't like his singing and those godawful faces he makes. I can't watch him. It still amazes me that he won AI. He has to be the most boring Idol winner ever (followed closely by Jordin Sparks). He has no star quality and zero charisma. I feel bad for him having to sing after Adam on the tour. Adam will blow the roof off the arena with his electrifying set, and then we'll have to sit through Kris' horrific No Boundaries and even worse Hey Jude. So no, I don't think Adam and Kris should duet ... big mistake!

I think they could do a great duet on a stripped down accoustic song. Adam can tone it down and make it beautiful - remember Tracks of My Tears? Remember Mad World. I think he and Kris could make beautiful music together/

I adore Adam, but I am beginning to wonder how close they are becoming. I can't remember idols loving each other so much. I remember Kelly and Jason, but 2 guys..., I don't think so. I could be wrong. They both are very close and wish them the best. If they duet, I am sure they will sound good. Love you Adam and Kris I know you need to be close to Adam, because he knowns the industry and without Adam you will be eaten alive. Stay close to him and you will do good. Make sure you don't make your wife jealous, I mean they are just friends!!! I still can get over how close. Oh well lets see what happens in 5 years.
