Kirsten Dunst to Play Coolest Role Ever

According to Kirsten Dunst, Blondie front-woman Debbie Harry "chose" the actress to play her in an upcoming biopic. Already anticipating naysayers — like me — Dunst told Variety, "She chose me... so anyone who disputes that choice can take it up with her."

While I can see the resemblance, I think Debbie Harry has a coolness factor that pretty far outshines any of Kirsten Dunst's qualities. I foresee a lot of hysterical, screechy scenes in which Dunst attempts to approximate her idea of "different" and "crazy." Hmm... maybe I should take this up with Debbie Harry...

When I am ignorant about something, I try to learn; not flaunt my ignorance. You people seem to want the world to know your lack of ability to see talent. Don’t let your jealousy show so much either; it really is tacky. There is a reason Ms. Dunst is a working actress and you are not; she has talent. I will assume that you are good at whatever job you have, but what makes you an expert on acting? You should put down the gossip rags and try to get away from that attitude. Let go of your petty, gossip personality; high school is over. Ms. Dunst is perfect for this role and I cannot wait to see it. When someone asks you to do a film: well let’s be honest, that is probably never going to happen. Do you know why, because you probably do not have her talent or charm. Is Hollywood knocking on your door? Probably not. Yet, how many films has Ms. Dunst made? You do the math. Jealousy is so pathetic. So is being mean; especially when you are so wrong!

Kirsten is an OK actress. Not crazy about her everyday grunge attire, but I don't think she does a horrible job acting! Loved Marie Antoinette. The colors, the food, the clothes. I know, I'm the only one. :D

I dont think that Kiki is a good actress. She use to be but lately she sucks. However I think Natalie Portman is an excellent actress. I cant wait to see her in Goyas Ghosts

I am not her biggest fan - to say the least - but she is a pretty good actor. The only time I ever thought she was bad in anything was Bring it on (though I have to admit I haven't gotten around to catching that Lifetime movie). She was fantastic in The Virgin Suicides

There are a lot of Kirsten haters out there, but she's a solid actress. (I feel like the same thing happens with Natalie Portman--solid actress, but tons of women loathe her.) I think it is because she isn't one of the most beautiful actresses--in a traditional sense, anyway--and good looks (and plastic surgery) are often mistaken for good acting.

Yeah, Kiki was amazing when she was younger and i believe that is due to the fact that we have lower expectations for child actors. but funny thing is, is that her acting ability hasn't improved from there and she's not a kid any more. and Debbie is way too amazing and legendary for just anyone to play in a movie. Scarlett would be better.

I do think she chose kiki because kirsten isn't desparate! I really mean that. I think deep down kirsten doesn't really care much for fame. If you take it away from her tomorrow she will cope (without rehab). I totally think that's why she chose kirsten. To me she's quietly together more than a lot of other celebs at her age (lindsay or paris anyone?)

I'd like to hear Debbie come forward and share her thoughts on this. I liked Kiki when she was a kid with "Little Women," "Interview with the Vampire," and even that Lifetime movie "Fifteen and Pregnant" (it's hilarious, totally see it if it's ever on). Then she turned into a screechy bitchy teen and hasn't changed since.

This is a sad day. Kiki will not do her justice. Just because the singing legend chose you does not mean it is a good choice. This is probably going to be another crappy Kiki movie
