Kath and Kim and Samantha Are Sticking Around

We won't be forgetting about Samantha Who?

We won't be forgetting about Samantha Who? or Kath and Kim anytime soon. Both comedies are sticking around for the remainder of the season.

ABC has ordered seven more episodes of Samantha Who? while NBC asked for nine more from Kath and Kim. They're the first two comedies to be picked up for a full season, though CBS has ordered additional scripts for both Worst Week and Gary Unmarried.

Samantha Who? is averaging 10.5 million viewers per episode so far this season while airing after Dancing With the Stars. Meanwhile, Kath and Kim has averaged about 6 million viewers per episode airing between My Name is Earl and The Office in NBC's Thursday night block. According to The Hollywood Reporter, an NBC executive called Kath and Kim "a show we love and believe in," while Samantha Who? could help ABC launch any of the six midseason comedies it's got planned.

Are you happy these funny ladies will be sticking around? Does either pickup surprise you? Sound off below!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and tonight, NBC's Kath and Kim is getting into the act. The mother-daughter team at the heart of the comedy has hooked up with Ford's Warriors in Pink campaign to help promote awareness of the disease in tonight's episode.

Anyone who tunes into the show tonight will have a chance to win a Ford Warriors in Pink Mustang (which will also be Kim's car for the duration of the season — huh, who knew she had a license?). There's also a funny little spot at the end of the show spotlighting breast cancer awareness in a way that only Kath and Kim can: by talking about how they need to pick a cause, what with being celebrities and all.

Last week's Kath and Kim premiere got a mixed reaction, but this sounds like as good a reason as any to give the show another try. If you didn't see the first episode, you can watch a quick recap of it if you read more

Watch, Pass, TiVo, or Rent: Kath and Kim

I've been curious for a while now to see NBC's Kath and Kim, an adaptation of an Australian comedy series about a dysfunctional mother and daughter starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair.

I've been curious for a while now to see NBC's Kath and Kim, an adaptation of an Australian comedy series about a dysfunctional mother and daughter starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair. I thought the first clips were pretty hilarious, but the show's switched directors since then, and the tone of the premiere episode is pretty different from what I was expecting.

You'll get to see it for yourself tonight at 8:30 p.m., and I'm wondering if it's one you're planning to check out — or one you'll skip altogether. Since this is the first time I've done a Watch, Pass, TiVo, or Rent poll for TV, a quick definition of terms: "Watch" means you're rushing home tonight to watch it, "Pass" is pretty self-explanatory, "TiVo" means you'll record it and maybe watch it later, and "Rent" means that you'd consider picking up the DVDs sometime down the line. So, have at it! Where does Kath and Kim fall for you?

Selma Is Back to Being Princess Kim, Spills and All

After spending a day with her boy and bikini, it was back to work for Selma Blair on the set of Kath and Kim this week including an ill-fated scooter ride.

After spending a day with her boy and bikini, it was back to work for Selma Blair on the set of Kath and Kim this week including an ill-fated scooter ride. Looks like we shouldn't expect Kim to lose her taste for loud fashion statements in the show's first season, but it's all part of the fun of the sitcom. We're already counting down to having a full TV schedule again, and if you are too make sure to download Buzz's printable calendar so you don't miss any of quirky Selma and your other favorites.

Kath and Kim Are Looking Like a Whole Lotta Crazy

Selma Blair and Molly Shannon took their ridiculous characters to a mall in LA to film Kath and Kim.

Selma Blair and Molly Shannon took their ridiculous characters to a mall in LA to film Kath and Kim. They were shooting scenes where Molly's character is a hairstylist and Selma is helping model for her mom. Yes, ICYMI, Molly is Selma's mom in the show. Selma's outfits continue to get more outrageous, and this time it's pink hot pants and sparkles! She has always had her own unique sense of style, but the pretty Fendi LBD and sexy Givenchy leggings are hopefully the trends people will want to follow, as opposed to her crazy counterpart. The only recent pink thing anyone should copy of Selma's are those beautiful shoes.

Selma Blair Shows Off More of Kim's Awesome Fashion

It looks like our newest TV funny woman, Kim, has a passion for bright lamé string bikinis!

It looks like our newest TV funny woman, Kim, has a passion for bright lamé string bikinis! Selma Blair looked less than thrilled to model this latest pink sensation and a unique yellow top with some silly matching accessories on set in LA yesterday. I will say even if she isn't loving the requisite weight gain and not fitting into her clothes for the role, she still looks pretty great in that bathing suit. Selma may not be full of laughs on set in next to nothing, but we're all excited for her to bring the hilarity to the small screen this Fall.

Selma Blair's Bright Shiny Morning

Selma Blair was spotted in this trashtastic blue get up on the set of Kath and Kim the other day with some cozy slippers and James Frey's Bright Shiny Morning perhaps to read between takes.

Selma Blair was spotted in this trashtastic blue get up on the set of Kath and Kim the other day with some cozy slippers and James Frey's Bright Shiny Morning perhaps to read between takes. Selma told us she gained over 20 pounds to play the role and although she still looks fabulous, we can expect Selma to keep growing out of her clothes and more into her character. She said she loves playing and figuring out her new role as Kim. Selma's also spending her days on the set giggling with her co-stars, Mikey Day and Molly Shannon. Sounds like the energy on this show is amazing and if Selma's outfits are any indication of the over the top character she'll be playing then it's just more of a reason to watch the show next month.
