John Krasinski Is Someone Borrowed and Someone Blue

It might not be time for John Krasinski to slip into a superhero costume just yet, but you can still look forwarding to seeing that Jim Halpert smirk on the big screen again soon. Krasinski is in talks to star opposite Ginnifer Goodwin in Something Borrowed, as well as the sequel Something Blue. Here's the catch — he'll have a smaller role in the first film as Ginnifer's close friend before stepping up as the leading man and love interest in the second film.

I've always had a soft spot for Krasinski, and I particularly loved watching him ham it up in It's Complicated. Though it sounds like he's trying to break into something outside the rom-com realm, I'm happy to have him stick around for now. Fans of the books — is Krasinski a good fit?

Plus the main character in "something borrowed" is very boring..... so boring i can't remember her name... Darcy on the other hand has personality

I read the sequel book, "something blue" before i read "something borrowed". Doing it that way I was always on Darcy's side from the very beginning and when I tried to read the first book, was IMMEDIATELY turned off. Agree with above comments, I don't care how awful you're best friend is... I don't think it's o.k. to go behind your "bff's" back

This book was great. And I bet you this type of "man-stealing"happens a lot in the real world(although not right). Very entertaining book.

whether you liked this book or not... john krasinki is a perfect fit for ethan! at first i thought he was going to be dex and i was like what! i love him just not for dex.

i 100% disagree...of all the chicklit i've read (which is pretty much all of it) - these were my 2 favorite books...yes it was DIFFERENT....it was hard to accept what rachel was doing to her best friend, but because it was different it was fun and interesting...it will make a GREAT movie if done right

Oh no, I HATED this book. There was nothing to like about the heroine. Nothing! I don't care how wretched her best friend was, the main character was needy, whiny, and pathetic. Didn't she even have a cat? Of course! UGH.

I have this book but i have yet to read it. I will definitely read it before the movie comes out. I love John though, so either way I think it will be great :)

I can't believe they are making these books into a movie!! That's amazing...I love these books!! I thought the stories were great. And I'll watch John Krasinski in anything so this is double good news today! I do hope they stay true to the book...but we all know that never happens. :-/

he would be a good Ethan, i agree, but Ginnifer as Rachel, i don't know unless she grows her hair....I think Malin Akerman or someone like that should be Darcy...someone totally unlikeable...and make Dex someone so charming

I loved this series. I hope the movies stay true to the books. Ginnifer as Rachel.. not too bad. Who will be Darcy!!??
