Jennifer Garner has much to smile about these days as she embarks on a new chapter in her professional life: producing TV shows at ABC Studios. Garner starred in ABC's Alias for five seasons (and she'll probably always be Sydney Bristow to me), and now she's reuniting with the network for a first-look production deal.
As producers, Garner and her partner Juliana Janes aim to develop female-driven material like Grey's Anatomy. Garner says she and Steve McPherson, the president of ABC Entertainment, "have a great relationship and have been talking about doing something together for some time now. It's been over three years since the finale of Alias." Garner also noted that she's excited to "get back into television wearing my producer hat."
It remains to be seen whether or not Garner will be in front of the camera as well as behind it, but I hope she does some acting. I miss Alias and I enjoyed Garner more in the small-screen role of Sydney Bristow than in any of her movie roles.
Do you think Garner should stick to TV projects instead of movies?

She's a dud.
1i like her in movies i just feel like she's usually the same type of character so this might be a good change for her. whatever she does though i'll be happy for her.
2I agree with Buzz, i loved Alias (most of the time!) and thought she was great as Sydney Bristow. She should definitely get back to her roots as a kick-butt, strong female. I'd love for her and JJ Abrams to work together again.
3I would love to see her doing her same stunts with kick boxing and that tough girl act!!!
4I love her no matter what she does. She can do no wrong in my book. Even though she was great as Sydney Bristow, weekly tv work is hard and with being a mom of two little ones, I don't see her doing anything like that at this time. Best to her and the family.
5she's definitely more suited for television than movies. her lead roles haven't done so well. she's too old (hitting 40 soon) to be doing alias and for us to believe it. it was her dumb idea to have sydney bristow fighting crime while 7 months pregnant - jump the shark! not sure if she's that great of an actress and seems to be more famous for being Mrs. Ben Affleck and Violet's mom. JJ Abrams is bonafide a-lister so he'll stick with movies full time.
6It would be nice to see her back on or behind the scenes of the small screen.
7I adored her in Alias - she owned the character of Sydney Bristow. I've preferred her in that role over her movies so it sounds promising that she would go back to television, I hope we get to see her in front of the camera as well as behind it.
8I loved Alias, it's still one of my favorite shows, so I woud love to see Jennifer Garner back on the small screen.
9She's too boring on the silver screen!
10I'm not a big Jennifer fan, but she's definitely better suited for the small screen. Disagree with Anon 4:40's comment about how she's too old to be a believable action hero, and would point to Demi Moore in Charlie's Angels, and Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2, among others, as examples.
