@stephley: u say jeff bridges has done this type of character before. what, u gonna tell me george clooney hasnt done the company man/workaholic/not ready to settle down on a relationship just yet/ role before? if u ask me, his acting in this movie was no different from his acting in, say, michael clayton. nothing special, and certainly not awards-worthy. i am glad that jeff bridges won, he deserves it

Not pleased - he's done this type of character before. I would have preferred to see Clooney, Firth or Freeman (though certainly he's done Mandela-type roles before).

he is amazing in that movie. i havent seen a single man yet, so i'm not sure if his performance is better than colin firths
