What baby name will he come up with this time? According to People, actor Jason Lee and his girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, are expecting a baby this fall.

It will be the second child for the My Name Is Earl as he has 4-year-old son, Pilot Inspektor, from a previous relationship.

If I'm being honest, My Name Is Earl is probably my least-favorite show in NBC's Thursday night comedy lineup. And yet, its return tonight fills me with an absolute feeling of joy. Why? Because Earl's reappearance after a long, writers' strike-induced hiatus means the rest of NBC's comedies are almost back, too. And the rest of NBC's comedies coming back means the other shows aren't far from returning, either — and that means that we're not far from a few weeks of TV-as-usual (before the Summer break kicks in, that is). Hooray!

Earl isn't launching into the second half of its season quietly. For one thing, tonight's return episode is an hour long. For another, Paris Hilton is appearing in it. And — probably most important to the show — it will answer the question of what happens to Earl and his potential true love, Billie Jean (Alyssa Milano), after they were struck by a car and left unconscious. Show creator Greg Garcia promised that the episode will take us into Earl's unconscious mind, which sounds like quite a terrifying place to be, indeed.

Another funny thing about the episode: Garcia asked NBC's president, Jeff Zucker, to record a recap of Earl's season to date. The resulting video is full of writers' strike in-jokes and more than a little toolishness from Zucker, but if you're into nerdy Hollywood humor, it's worth a watch. To check it out, just read more

Last night Nick Lachey, Ashley Tisdale and Al Roker hosted the tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center in NYC. The beautifully lit backdrop included performances from Celine Dion, Natasha Bedingfield, Tony Bennett and Josh Groban. NBC star Brooke Shields came out to promote Lipstick Jungle while Jason Lee plugged his family film Alvin and the Chipmunks. The coolest thing about the evening was finding out that this year's tree has "gone green" by using energy-efficient LED lights. What a great new tradition to incorporate this holiday season. Jaime Pressly's line of knitwear, J'aime, is two years old but last night she debuted her newly expanded contemporary collection at LA Fashion Week. The runway show and party, which benefited St. Jude, was clearly a proud moment for the actress who was beaming all night long. Her My Name Is Earl costar Jason Lee was out to support his friend as was Nicky Hilton (who also had a show at LAFW over the weekend) and her boyfriend David Katzenberg. When Earl Hickey was sent to jail on the season finale of "My Name is Earl" last spring, what were the good people of Camden County to do? Why, they gathered to make a "We Are the World"-style music video pleading for Earl's release, that's what.

The video, which promotes the Sept. 27 season premiere of the show, features the whole "Earl" cast belting out the reasons Earl should be set free (best one: "he's our karma guy"). If you can handle Jaime Pressly's intentionally off-key singing, the whole thing is pretty amusing. NBC also put together a funny "making-of" video, which you can watch over here. The gentlemen got to show off their personalities a bit by their suits in their closets for last night's Teen Choice Awards. Ryan Reynolds was shaggy in his beard - which I still think is pretty cute. Meanwhile Efron (who I'm fairly sure doesn't even have to shave) was appropriately dreamy. I may not be his target demographic, but judging from the throngs of screaming girls in the audience, he looked fantastic with his fancy vest and highlights. Gotta love the Superbad boys in their high school parking lot chic. Hey, it was another awesome weekend for them once again scoring the number one spot at the box office.
