As it turns out, even J.K. Rowling sometimes questions how the Harry Potter series ended. In a recent interview with Wonderland magazine, Harry Potter star Emma Watson interviewed Rowling and got some pretty interesting tidbits from the author, excerpts of which were published in The Sunday Times. "I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment," Rowling confessed. "That's how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron." The author went on to admit that Ron and Hermione probably needed marriage counseling down the line. "I know, I'm sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I'm absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that."
