Get a Load of Fat Mac in the New Season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

If you're a fan of

If you're a fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, then you know the gang is always trying to push the envelope. So what's in store when the comedy returns in September? A big Mac — literally. Rob McElhenney packed on 50 lbs. for the new season, and if this promo is any indication, the new season will revolve heavily around Mac's new food obsession (something tells us that Charlie, Dennis, Dee, and Frank are going to have a field day with this one). Check it out before the show returns on September 15.

What Is the Best Cable TV Comedy of 2010?

Major networks are always churning out sitcoms, but sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to get to the really funny stuff.

Major networks are always churning out sitcoms, but sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to get to the really funny stuff. Let's face it: on cable, writers are able to get away with more indecency and dark humor (prime example: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). These series definitely pushed the proverbial envelope this year and had us laughing hard. Which is your 2010 favorite?

Regardless of the rollercoaster of cancellations and pickups for new TV series, there's still a stable of mature TV shows that have been running for a long time (over four seasons, to be precise). It's time for you to weigh on which shows are still thriving, and which shows should be put out of their misery.

Are You Still Into It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?

If you can believe it, FX's hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns tonight with its sixth season.

If you can believe it, FX's hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns tonight with its sixth season. That's roughly 70 episodes of banter featuring everything that pushes the envelope from dumpster babies to underage drinking and beyond. The antics continue this season with a new twist: Kaitlin Olson's real-life pregnancy (with costar husband Rob McElhenney!) was written into the season. Naturally, there's a very special Halloween episode revolving around the mystery of who got blacked out and knocked up Sweet Dee.

The show has had its ups and downs over the years (up: kitten mittens! down: that episode where someone pooped the bed), but I still can't resist the quirky comedy. I've got my DVR all programmed and ready to go, but what about you — are you still into Always Sunny?

The Bachelor Gone Very, Very Bad

Every time I hear a new reality dating show gimmick, I think, "Can it get any worse?!"

Every time I hear a new reality dating show gimmick, I think, "Can it get any worse?!" But if this concept becomes reality, we'll know it's the end of days. If, like me, you appreciate the twisted humor of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the guilty pleasure of The Bachelor, then you'll appreciate this parody promo for the latest in horrific dating shows. Be sure to catch "the waitress" from It's Always Sunny and your host at the end!

Yikes! Given that one reality dating show already featured a suspected murderer, this video is frighteningly close to the truth.

TV Tonight: NBC's Comedy Lineup, Fringe, and More!

Let the TiVo battles begin!

Let the TiVo battles begin! Thursday is going to be the most difficult night to decide what to watch this Fall, and tonight introduces the first round of contenders.

Over on NBC, Parks and Recreation kicks off the comedy lineup at 8:30 p.m. This is the second season of the show, and it's already looking funnier than the first; tonight, Amy Poehler's character Leslie Knope accidentally marries two boy penguins to promote attendance at the zoo, ringing alarm bells in the conservative community.

After Parks is the sixth season premiere of The Office, where we'll get to see how well Jim and Pam can keep their baby a secret from everyone. Trying to remember all that went down in season five? Quiz yourself. It's not only returning shows on NBC tonight, though; check out the premiere of Joel McHale's college comedy Community at 9:30 p.m. I thought the pilot had its ups and downs, but you'll get to decide for yourself if it's worthy of a Season Pass on your TiVo.

Oh, and that's so not all that's happening on TV tonight. To see what else is on, just read more

Always Sunny Promises Recession Jokes & More Kitten Mittens

If you're a fan of

If you're a fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you've probably already seen the video featuring Charlie's invention to soften the sound of cat claws: Kitten Mittens. But did you know that there will be far more merchandise options than just the mittens in the coming season of FX's comedy? It's true — a "nudie pen" with Dennis' body being revealed when the pen is tipped, a new kind of bath towel and a new way of getting a "shot" at a bar that is too funny for me to describe here are some of the brilliant inventions brought to us by the bizarre Philly crew. It's all in a new preview video for season five of the show, along with new footage from Charlie's Kitten Mittens promo spot ("you'll be smitten!"). In another video the cast explains more of the storylines we can expect to see in the coming months, starting with the season premiere on Sept. 17.

These videos make me laugh. If you're a Sunny fan, chances are they'll have the same effect on you. To check them out, read more

Charlie Day, Christina Applegate Are Going the Distance With Drew and Justin

Two of TV's funniest comedic actors (in my opinion) are joining up with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long for the romantic comedy Going the Distance.

Two of TV's funniest comedic actors (in my opinion) are joining up with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long for the romantic comedy Going the Distance. The movie focuses on long-distance relationships, with Drew and Justin playing the main duo. Christina Applegate and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Charlie Day will play supporting characters: Day will take the role of "Long's best friend while Applegate is Barrymore's sister." Barrymore and Applegate as sisters is a little hard to buy, but OK. I like all these actors and can't wait to see how they interact.

I'm especially interested to see Charlie Day on the big screen. Due to Always Sunny's demanding schedule, none of the main actors on the FX comedy have done much film work. Day explained, "I couldn't just up and take [the role]. I had to sit down with the guys and work out a schedule and say, 'If you're comfortable, I'm going to be doing a bit of flying back and forth.' . . . It has to be very interesting for us to bow out of our responsibility and pass the buck." So I'm going to go ahead and assume that if Going the Distance qualifies as "very interesting" by Charlie Day's standards, it's gotta be pretty dang good. Right?
