Here's the First Picture of Henry Cavill as Superman!

Well, this is a big step up from that Entertainment Weekly cover: Warner Bros. has just released the very first official photo of Henry Cavill from Superman: Man of Steel. Though it's a little dark, it's clear the "steel" theme is in full effect here, and Superman's suit looks closer to that of Andrew Garfield's new Spidey costume than the original tights and undies combo. Still, there's no denying Cavill's dashing superhero looks — or those huge muscles. How do you feel about it?

Henry in the Superman suit looks absolutely amazing, those muscles are his, not CGI! It's really edgy & gritty, what you'd expect from Zach Snyder...this movie will obviously be epic action..so excited. Henry will rock it & make the most sexy Clark ever *sigh* re Comic-Con pics: it's unfortunate "journalists" can be so sloppy with their facts...

You're totally right, Becky. I would say I feel stupid, but the mistake is on Moviefone who have them captioned as such: "First up are photos of Henry Cavill from the set of the upcoming Superman reboot, 'Man of Steel.' The images, courtesy of MrCavill.com, are of the actor in his classy Kent attire." Regardless, I think we can all agree he looks amazing, lol

How come it doesn't look like him? The picture's confusing. Is he missing a leg? Is his leg aching? Okay a big steel vault.... because he's man of steel? Cavill's better than this released photo, WB give us a photo with a more superhero vibe, please! I guess I'm just used to Superman looking all tall and strong. Minus all the distractions in this pic. P.S. Yes Cavill was extremely gorge in The Tudors.

Yes! He was brilliant in the Tudors (and incredibly sexy)! Here's hoping he makes it big as Superman. Such a huge fan!!

To those that it may concern: If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and go watch Henry in The Tudors. You won't regret it, TRUST ME. He looks great here. Hopefully this is his big break (unlike poor Brandon Routh).
