Well, Harry Potter fans, it's official: Universal Studios in Florida is opening a Harry Potter theme park called "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" in 2009. The park will include the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade village. The Variety article continues:
"The plans I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed," said author J.K. Rowling, who has been working with a creative team to make sure the park resembles the books and films.
The Potter park will allow visitors to view the iconic locations in Rowling's magical world, like Dumbledore's office in Hogwarts and the shops in Hogsmeade. Some locations may be in upcoming books.

You know what would be the icing on the cake....If they had a Quidditch ride. Be honest, how often have you wanted to fly at topspeeds on a broomstick while reading the books? Count me in!

4I actually think that this is really cool! It would be like being on the movie set except better because it would actually be full rooms and building connected instead of on a lot.

25holy crap i just squeed. i am gonna be ON that like a fat kid on cake. and since i'm a fat kid and there is cake, i know from which i speak. oh my gosh i hope they have people dressed like HP characters, like, how hilarious would it be if there's a lucius malfoy swooping around in his cape glaring at people? or hagrid going wandering around with fluffy? hee. so excited.

48LOVE IT!! I have been a Harry Potter book fan for years and it would be thrilling to actually visit a place that I have only been able to create a vision for in my mind. Have a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. Check out the moving silver instruments in Dumbledores office. The Gryffindor common room. Like I said LOVE IT!!
