Should Meredith and Derek Get Married?

There have been some rumors floating around about a possible wedding between Meredith and Derek on Grey's Anatomy, thanks to Patrick Dempsey's comments that "something might be happening." That's, um, pretty vague, though — and indeed, show insiders have said they haven't seen anything about an engagement or wedding.

But still, it's an interesting thought, considering that Meredith and Derek are moving in together, possibly building their dream house, and really attempting to maintain a relationship like normal adults. Do you think Mere and Der should say, "I do"?

There is'nt going to be a wedding. The show will go on, without Meredith. I hate her. Sorry,but that's how I feel about the Lesbian woman.She's not a very good actress, at all. I'm on my sister's side and I do agree with her.I know in fact, that Merediths dies, in a car accident and Meredith, gets replaced with someone better, than her. Someone that does really care for Derek and really loves him, with all her heart.Meredith is playing games with Derek and is trying to get her way with him too. Meredith is out of the show. Sorry to say this, but I really do'nt like Meredith , at all. She is a very depressed person and we don't like seeing that on the show. She really does need to grow up and start acting right on the show. I do very much , agree with my sister. The both of us, realy don't like her. Rain

This should be shown in public. I know for sure, that Meredith really does'nt love Derek. She's just playing these little games with him. She had so much trouble on the show,she should be taking off the show, for good.This is nota prank. Derek deserves someone better, than her. She really does'nt belong on the show,she's Lesbian , for sure.I know, I've it it alot,through the United States. She's not Dereks type of a woman.She needs to start growing up and start acting more like an adult and quit playing games with Derek.

I agree, without mer and der there would be no grey's anatomy. I cannot believe how many people do not like them together. They make each other happy so yes they should get married and live a long and happy life together.

Of course the should be. They are meant to be. They're soulmates. Without them Grey's Anatomy wouldn't exist and people who doesn't see it are either blind or jealous.

Of course they are "totally wrong for each other." THAT'S why people GET married!!! (Was that my out-loud voice?) Cue the organ and the white dress. Do it. Do it quickly. One episode, preggers going down the aisle, and move on.

maybe - i think that one of the good things that the writers are doing is making the show more intricate and taking some of the focus away from their relationship and putting it into other things. in an obvious way - if they got married then the show would 'jump the shark' but with where they are going with the plot - then you never know - the show might be able to live on for a while.

If they break up again, the writers are just ridiculous. They have already turned the entire hospital into this gross inbred circle. Everyone sleeps with everyone... The only couple on TV who could get away with breaking up and getting back together as much as Derek and Meredith is Carrie and Big...that's it!

Ugh, I don't really like these two together. She is so whiny and he is so patient with her and acts like she is doing him a favor by being with him. Are you serious? Has he not looked in a mirror or looked at her in high def? Yowza!! Not that I like Rose either. I wish Addison would come back and leave stupid Private Practice alone. I miss her! This show needs fresh blood, like someone for Christina. I like her.
