Great TV Wedding Moments: "Sex and the City"

As we've mentioned, it's wedding planning mania here on the Sugar Network, and throughout the next couple of weeks, I'll be sharing some of my favorite wedding moments from television.

When it comes to wedding planning and romance in general, Cynthia Nixon's Miranda character on "Sex and the City" isn't big on tradition, and that's one reason I love this scene from the season six episode entitled "The Ick Factor." That was a great tv wedding moment! I also loved when Carrie was engaged to Aiden and her and Miranda went dress shopping and tried on those ugly dresses! lmao!

Awww... I loved Miranda's wedding. The whole way they found the location, and how excited her housekeeper gets at the end of the ceremony. It was just a sweet wedding without the normal cheesiness of TV weddings. And our course Miranda shopping for the dress whilst on her cell phone the whole time made for fine entertainment! "Party like a rock star, pound like a porn star, play like an all star!"

Loved the whole "Miranda gets married" thing, too. The wedding totally fit the character, and I thought it was good that the show's writers/producers decided to go in the direction they did instead of doing instead of making her wedding standard and traditional. Despite years of warning, some people are still surprised I didn't want an engagement ring, and refuse to buy a pouffy white dress.
