Murder, mustaches, and Ralph Fiennes take center stage in the trailer for Wes Anderson's latest exotic film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Fiennes plays Gustav, a hotel concierge in charge of training a novice lobby boy (Tony Revolori). The police come knocking when Madame D., a wealthy patron of the hotel (Tilda Swinton), winds up dead, and Gustav is the main suspect. All the usual players are here: Adrien Brody plays Swinton's son; Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman are, well, around; Bob Balaban and Harvey Keitel are in the mix. It's like a film family reunion! Oh, and there's a quick flash of Jude Law lounging in a bathtub.
The trailer is everything I hoped it would be, from Willem Dafoe punching someone in the face with brass knuckles, to Edward Norton peeking out of a trap in the ground, to Jeff Goldblum with amazing facial hair. Everyone, in fact, has amazing facial hair. The part I'm most excited about is again experiencing the unique and colorful aesthetic that comes with every Anderson movie. The film will open next year, but before then, check out the trailer after the jump.
