It's been over 30 years since "The Goonies" hit theaters, and even though there were rumblings of a sequel [1] a few years ago, those plans seem to be off for now. Regardless, it's a nostalgic classic, largely thanks to the memorable performances given by its five main stars — Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Josh Brolin [2], and Ke Huy Quan.
Since the movie's debut, the core cast have embarked on a variety of different paths in the entertainment industry. On Jan. 10, Quan took home a Golden Globe award for his role in "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and paid tribute to his child-actor days in an emotional acceptance speech. "As I grew older, I started to wonder if that was it, if that was just luck. For so many years, I was afraid I had nothing more to offer," he said of his "Goonies" days. "No matter what I did, I would never surpass what I achieved as a kid. Thankfully, more than 30 years later, two guys thought of me," he added, referencing "Everything Everywhere All at Once" directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. "They remembered that kid, and they gave me an opportunity to try again."

Feldman also wrote a book, "Coreyography: A Memoir [5]," which was released in October 2013. Additionally, he appeared in Katy Perry [6]'s "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" music video in 2011, and he's also a musician himself, forming the band Corey Feldman's Truth Movement in the 1990s and releasing a number of albums over the years.
Feldman and "Goonies" costar Astin, also real-life friends, teamed up to voice characters for the animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series in 2012, while the former appeared in "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" in 2015. Feldman has also leaned into producing, helming a sequel of "The Lost Boys" as well as a number of other features.
- Personal Life: Feldman was emancipated from his parents at age 15, and he married actor Vanessa Marcil in 1989 before the couple divorced in 1993. In 2002, he and his wife, Susie Sprague, were married on the final episode of VH1's "The Surreal Life," and their ceremony was co-officiated by MC Hammer. The pair have one son together, and they divorced in 2009. In 2016, Feldman married his then-girlfriend Courtney Anne Mitchell in Las Vegas.

Josh Brolin as Brandon "Brand" Walsh in "The Goonies"

- Professional Life: Brolin's first-ever film appearance was "The Goonies," and since then, he's enjoyed a long, successful career. In 2007, he starred in best picture Oscar winner "No Country For Old Men." He also earned an Academy Award nomination for his role as Dan White in "Milk." More recently, Brolin has become a comic-book movie go-to, having played the role of Thanos in the Avengers franchise and Cable in "Deadpool 2." He also starred as Gurney Halleck in Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" and is set to appear in the sequel in 2023.
- Personal Life: Brolin's parents divorced when he was 16, and his dad, actor James Brolin, married Barbra Streisand in 1998. Josh has two children with his first wife, actor Alice Adair, whom he was married to from 1988 to 1994. He was also engaged to Minnie Driver [10] before the pair eventually split, and he later married Diane Lane [11] in August 2004. The couple divorced in 2013. In 2016, Brolin married his former assistant, Kathryn Boyd, and the pair went on to have two daughters together.

- Personal Life: Green took a break from acting to study at Vassar College, and she's now reportedly married with kids.

- Professional Life: Following his roles in two hit '80s films — "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and "The Goonies" — Quan appeared in a few TV series and 1992's "Encino Man" with "Goonies" costar Astin. But in 2022, he starred in the highly acclaimed film "Everything Everywhere All at Once" as Waymond, the husband of Michelle Yeoh's character, Evelyn Wang. The role netted him a Golden Globe award for best supporting actor in a motion picture.
- Personal Life: Quan graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He is now married and thanked his wife in his Golden Globes acceptance speech [13], calling her "the most important person in my life" and "the one person that has never stopped believing in me."
