George R. R. Martin, the man behind Game of Thrones, has gotten a lot of flak from fans for being slow to finish the book series that the hit HBO show is based on, A Song of Ice and Fire. George has been working for three years on The Winds of Winter, the forthcoming sixth installment of the planned seven-part series, and there is no release date in sight. The delay has gotten fans worried [1] that George, who is 65, will possibly die before he can finish the seventh novel — a claim that the author does not appreciate. When asked by a Swiss reporter about the speculation, George said, "I find that question pretty offensive, people speculating about my death and my health. So f*ck you to those people." Considering that Game of Thrones just finished its fourth season [2] and is preparing for its fifth installment, maybe fans can satisfy themselves with the TV version for now.
