From Mitch Hurwitz: An Arrested Development Movie Update At the TCA press tour session for the new animated show Sit Down, Shut Up — led by Mitch Hurwitz of Arrested Development and with Jason Bateman and Will Arnett in the voice cast — Hurwitz offered the following update on the AD movie: "We want to do it, we have a deal more or less in place from Fox Searchlight, and we're kind of getting all the actors on board. We have a story, which is basically Valkyrie meets Hotel for Dogs."

3!!! What a great way to start off the new year! Lost returns in a week, and Mitch Hurwitz himself telling the world that the most awesome movie is really about to be made!
I hope the cast gets on board fast. No one's really in a particularly long term commitment aside from Will Arnett who has that development deal with FOX on top of the voice work for Sit Down, Shut Up.

7jleonardbc — actually, Will Arnett was at TCA yesterday and sure sounded excited about working on the movie. The big question mark seems to be Michael Cera, though nobody would say that he for sure won't do it.
