Fantastic Four to Be Rebooted: Yay or Nay?

Hollywood has remake fever, but the news that Fantastic Four is going to be rebooted just two years after the last film came out strikes me as a little unnecessary.

2005's Fantastic Four and its sequel starred Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis, and while the films did OK, they didn't exactly break Spider-Man records. No news yet on whether the aforementioned foursome will reprise their roles or if they'll all be replaced.

Do you want to see more of this franchise, or should they leave well enough alone?

They could make it really dark and completely reboot it. The comic book has potential but they made the movies campy.

I say nay, but then the thought of Chris Evans basically naked for 2 hours is kinda worth it-

The first movie was bad but watchable. The second one was DREADFUL. I say axe it, but that'll never happen because of a deal that Marvel has with the studio re: Fantastic Four.See, the studio has to make a movie every few years or they'll lose the rights. That's why <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fantastic_Four_%28film%29">this version</a> was made in the 90's and never released.(I can thank my nerdy boyfriend for all of this knowledge. And he owns that unreleased movie on bootleg DVD and it is so terrible that it's hilarious.)

B/c a reboot of The Hulk just shortly after the first movie crashed and burned turned out so well. How about we wait at least 10 years before "rebooting" something.

wow, that's pretty much even- at least for now :) we personally like comic book movies, so we enjoy them. Bring 'em on, I could watch a new FAN4 movie every week with my crew!

get rid of Alba, put a slightly older star who actually looked close to Sue's age, better story line and it could work.
