Rewind: This Week's Buzz
- Some big casting announcements this week on both the big and small screen: Courteney Cox is heading to Scrubs and Robert Downey Jr. scored the role of Sherlock Holmes in Guy Ritchie's project.
- Meanwhile, Tim Burton's in search of an Alice for his Wonderland, and both Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty will add some new faces to the mix.
- Which movie are you going to see this weekend? I wouldn't exactly recommend Meet Dave!
- I would, however, recommend you get your superhero and/or Guillermo del Toro fix this weekend with Hellboy II: The Golden Army. And check out these funny clips beforehand to get yourself pumped.
- There are rumors about a possible Friends movie, so I wondered what other TV shows you think would make good movies. And all this started because of the huge success of the Sex and the City movie which folks are hoping to capitalize on further with a sequel.
- It's TCA time! For those of you new to that lingo it stands for the Television Critics Association and their press tour in L.A. has just begun. This means that every big network is rolling out their stars and promoting their shows. I'm headed down this week so watch for my coverage. In the meantime, check out the good stuff we've already learned.
- I was so excited for the new Beck CD, not to mention the soundtrack for Mamma Mia! I also felt torn between my love of Tom Petty's classic song "Free Fallin'" and John Mayer's interpretation of it.
- Other cool videos that hit the Web this week include a preview of the new NBC show Kath and Kim starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, and a sneak peek at the upcoming Heroes webisodes.
