I didn't think the second season of Damages could possibly achieve the level of intense craziness as the first season did, but I was wrong — dead wrong, you might say. This season saw Ellen (Rose Byrne) taking charge of her life after everything went down in the first season, and there was this constant, fascinating tug-of-war between Ellen and Patty, each one always wanting (or thinking she has) the upper hand. Glenn Close is the major pull of this show, but it's commendable how well Byrne holds her own beside her. Still, I have a feeling that the competition is too fierce in this category for Byrne to take home the gold this time around. Chances of winning: Low.
