Watch Ellen's 2007 Oscars Monologue to Get Excited For Sunday's

Feb 27 2014 - 4:45pm

Sunday night when Ellen DeGeneres [1] takes the stage to host the Oscars, you might have deja vu. The comedian already gave the gig a shot in 2007, when she told the audience that she always dreamed of hosting the Oscars, rather than winning one. "Let that be a lesson to you kids out there," she said. "Aim lower." Some of the jokes from Ellen's throwback monologue would still work today, especially those pointing out how many Brits get nominated. And if you watch, you'll spot August: Osage County's Abigail Breslin [2] as an adorable little one nominated for Little Miss Sunshine. Are you excited to see Ellen take the mic again?
