Does "Grey's" Have Its Groove Back?

I disagree, the eppy wasnt that great at all.

Haven't watched the show in months. Have no desire to, either.

i agree with crispet1. i was a little bored with last night's episode.

I thought last nights episode was pretty good! it was cute. I hope the spinoff falls through because I really like Addison on grey's.

i'm starting to hate george and izzy almost as much as i hate mer and der. go addison! can't wait for her spinoff!!

I really want Addison and the Chief to hook up. Anyone else find a bit of chemistry there? Remember that eppy way back when when Addy stood up for the Chief after dyeing his hair? Mer was sort of redeemable at the end with her step-mom. I wish she would remember that whole "We need people" speech of hers after the ferry incident. She was rather rude to step-mom and the FREE groceries. Cristina might actually be growing up a bit, but last night sort of left us on the edge. Will she become the selfless, loving woman or will she go back to being "cristina"? I dunno. And what's up with Derek? Is he giving Mer another reason to want to drown herself? Selfish. Come on! Just when you think people are growing up and getting some brains... And Izzie's storyline was lost on me b/c I so despise the George and Izzy storyline. Bleck. We'll see how next episode goes...but I'm feeling like maybe I should go...away from this show.

LaLa, you make good points. I was disinterested in the Meredith storyline and more intrigued (but even mildly so) with what was going on with Cristina. And maybe this was just me, but I felt as though the most faux-dramatic part of the entire eppy was when Eva screamed at Karev. I was like, woah, tons of drama, and all from a tertiary character. This is why I think the eppy was lacking. It didnt really draw the viewer in, and the most attention-getting part came from a patient.

Last night's episode was decent, but something is still missing. Midway through the show, my husband said, "I don't know what it is, but it still seems off." The writers appear to be searching for ways to wrap up some story lines and to develop new ones and to figure out how to let characters grow naturally. I'll keep watching and hoping, but it's still too soon to tell.

I used to love Izzy, but she's become such a tragic mess. Really, what more can go wrong? Or dare I even ask? I agree with Linda -- the storylines are becoming quite forced.

i tried to watch this episode, i really did try, but somehow i ended up helping my mom fold clothes, we started talking, and time went by and oh well... i lost track of Grey a long time ago

I have enjoyed the past few new episodes, I think it's back on track (finally after the three part "meredith dies and comes back" series)

Well, I did find it more enjoyable than the last few eppys, but I still don't think it was Season 2 good. George bothered me so much! Those two don't belong together. AT ALL. period. But maybe Derrek's departure could be good for the show. The Mer/Der relationship bores me to tears (although in the first and second seasons it was great).

It's on the road to recovery, it was better then it had been of late, and hopefully it will get better with time.

krampalicious me too! I cannot stand Izzie/George. Meredith and Derek are just annyoing at this point Bye Addison...Seattle will surely miss you (Grey's actually needs you a lot) But I'll see you on Wednesday nights in LA!!! So pumped for this spinoff
