Do You Like to Watch Scary Movies at Home or in the Theater?

It's almost Halloween! And of course this is the perfect time to watch some spooky movies. When it comes to willingly frightening yourself with entertainment, what would you rather: Snuggling up at home where the scariness might be intensified by a dark house (and where you can hug/hide behind someone!), or jumping and shrieking collectively with other moviegoers in a packed theater?

omg with a group of friends atleast 4-10 omg with all the lights off and next to my boyfriend so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually watch them at home when it's daytime.. or with all the lights on.. and with friends.. never alone! haha :D

I love both. Home so you can snuggle up in the dark and in the cinema because it's always great to watch it with an audience (though definitely not with annoying people talking throughout the film).

i say the theater cuz everything is so much BIGGER and LOUDER and that tends to make me jump out of the seat

I'm too nervous to watch in the theater. At home I can get up and move around and plug my ears

mostly at home, 'cause I'm usually the only one that wants to see the scary movies and I don't wanna go alone to the theater

Home is so much better! I don't get to fully enjoy it in the theater. Kids are always yelling, laughing & using their cell phones. I love scary movies. Annoying ~ obnoxious teens I can do without!

Both, but prefer to be home with a blanket, pillow, AND remote close by cuz I am a scaredy cat (plus my husband loves to make me jump by screaming BOO at the most calm moment, resulting in my leaping off the couch)..lmao my husband's right, I am a punk (i.e. I still have not watched the Saw 5 trailer str8 thru lol)

wow ..i always thought that i was the biggest wimp in the world. im glad there are others out there. honestly i dont even watch the commercials. i get disturbed very easily. oh, so my answer is NONE OF THE ABOVE :)

Both. I don't mind watching it in the theatre especially after the movie has been out for weeks (less comments and noise) and I don't mind watching it at home. There should have been a both option.

I love watching scary movies at home in my own bed - it's creepy, but not too creepy. If I get scared, I can just change the channel or read a book. I've watched so many scary movies on TV in the past few weeks and none of them have given me nightmares so far. I get TERRIFIED in the theaters. When I saw Signs in the theaters with my cousin and her friend, I had anxiety for two weeks. I hate alien movies, especially since that movie seems realistic.

home.there aren't annoying asshole-y teenagers laughing like jackasses...pissing me off...killing my buzz...at home.it happened recently when I went to the midnight showing of saw 5...so I'm still bitter and annoyed by ppl at the movie theaters.

I think it's fun to go see them in the theater, though I usually don't because they attract too much of the giggly, texting teen crowd. I like the silly-scares you get from seeing crap like The Grudge! It's fun to get freaked out and then laugh hysterically at how lame what you just saw was.

I don't watch scary movies, mostly because they don't scare me, so they're just really stupid to me! Lol. Though now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever gone to see a scary movie in theaters. I might have to try that sometime. :P
