Color me unsurprised, but Miley Cyrus is doing relatively well as she tries to move on from Hannah Montana. She has the upcoming The Last Song, the Girls Just Want to Have Fun remake and now in the latest casting news, she's reportedly teaming up with Demi Moore to play a mother-daughter duo in a remake of the French comedy LOL: Laughing Out Loud.
The story centers around a teen who gets dumped by her boyfriend and then shifts her attention to his best friend, while her mother is handling her own romantic baggage. Oh yeah, and the daughter is supposedly obsessed with IMing, hence, the cringe-worthy title.
The film sounds totally cheesy, and all the acronym usage will probably have me in a FML frame of mind. On the other hand, mother-daughter plots do often hit a sweet spot, Freaky Friday style. What do you think of the project? Are Cyrus and Moore a convincing onscreen mom and daughter pair?
