The Dark Knight Rises opened this weekend, wrapping up Christopher Nolan's Batman saga and giving audiences one last chapter in the life of Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne. The film has a lot to offer — exciting action sequences, eye candy courtesy of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, and great performances from Bale and his talented costars — but did you think that the last film in the trilogy was worthy of all the buzz? I thought the movie was stunning, but I want to hear from those of you who watched the movie. Did it live up to your expectations or not, and why? ZERO interest in this movie, sorry but that maniac loser turned me off to sitting in a dark room watching this with a bunch of strangers (spare me the reasons why I shouldn't let that ruin it for me)...instead I went to see Ice Age with my little cousins, which was adorable AND in 3D...I'll catch this crap on DVD

Fantastic! Movie was amazing, the action sequences, the acting, the effects and the music is what wraps it all into one astounding film. I thought Bane was a great villain and seeing Bruce Wayne/Batman in such a fragile state at the beginning of the movie was a great sight into him. Everything was good and the only complaint is that it's over. But thankfully Christopher Nolan is respectable, and he won't overdo it like anyone else would. I'd rather be left wanting more than begging for them to stop making sequels.

i had higher hopes for the film. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining and fun, but I wanted something deeper. The movie had a lot of potential to be deeper like the dark knight, but it was more like Batman begins where it was entertaining but didn't resonate with you once the film ended (unlike the dark knight). Overall it was good, but it could have been astounding.

I loved it, cried,laughed and enjoyed it. My only problem was I wanted Bruce and Miranda to make it work! not cat woman.

I just watched this movie last night! Nolan obviously had a rather grand vision for the movie to cover a range and scope of issues which were quite politically and socially relevant (the Occupy movement, rage against the capitalist movement, terrorism, how to change society). The problem I had with Nolan tackling such a broad range of issues was that he didn't seem to offer a substantive opinion or worldview of these problems. In the end, I was wondering, so WHAT was Nolan trying to tell me about these issues?
