Could You See Rihanna in a Bodyguard Remake?

One of the latest rumors surrounding Rihanna is that she and Channing Tatum are in talks to star together in a remake of The Bodyguard. Of course, Rihanna would take on Whitney Houston's role as the singing star and Tatum would play Kevin Costner's role, the bodyguard. The movie would apparently be a "young and sexy take" on the original film.

Can you picture this? Do you want to? Could Rihanna pull off this role?

If they must remake it (and I am not convinced) wouldn't Beyonce be a better pick? She has a better voice and more experience.

Why do they insist on remaking movies and TV shows now? They're ruining EVERYTHING!! They have essentially ruined all my favorite 80s cartoons, and now they're going to ruin the first "grown up" movie I ever liked? I'm so ready to boycott Hollywood...

When they redo a classic they usually make a little more modern and younger- so that it will appeal to the younger people who never saw the original bodyguard movie.I loved the original but could see RiRi in a newer modern version.

Rhianna can't sing? That's one I haven't heard before. Actually she can sing. And she's always reminded me of the "next Whitney Houston." So I can see where people pulling the strings on her career would see this as a potential thing for her. But why not put her in something original? The Bodyguard wasn't that great in the first place.
