Possible Clueless Sequel: Yay or OMG, Nay?

Rumor has it Silvestone and Clueless director Amy Heckerling recently discussed a script for a sequel to the high school comedy. On the cute side, it might mean Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone together again on the big screen. And yet . . . it's a Clueless sequel!

It's still very much a rumor, but is this something you'd want to see? I suppose we'd find out what Cher's up to all these years after graduation. But would this work if it's no longer set in high school? Is Cher still with her stepbrother? Did they get married (and is that super weird?)?

What say you?

What on Earth Will a Video Game Based on Clueless Be Like?

Things that make me go "hmm...": I spotted on GeekSugar yesterday this news that several new movies have been picked up as future video games — and they're not your usual action-heavy flicks with guns and bombs or. . . action of any kind (unless you count Cher's steamy online chat, after which "he just logged off"). They're Clueless, Mean Girls and Pretty in Pink.

On the one hand, it's nice that there are going to be video games for girls, and ones that aren't totally violent. On the other hand, seriously, what will these games entail? Competitive shopping? Backstabbing contests? A race against time to alter Iona's old pink prom dress? Brainstorm below.

Paramount is not only trying to dip into the video-game world, but it's also going after a female audience by introducing three games inspired by girlie movies — Clueless, Mean Girls, and Pretty in Pink.

Paramount is not only trying to dip into the video-game world, but it's also going after a female audience by introducing three games inspired by girlie movies — Clueless, Mean Girls, and Pretty in Pink. These first few games will be developed in conjunction with Legacy Interactive.

No word on what console the games will be designed for or what the user experience will be like just yet, although BuzzSugar has her predictions!

More games are said to be in the making and even more to come next year!

What's Buzzworthy? Movies With Great Costumes

As we ease into October I've been thinking a lot about Halloween and the idea of costuming and masquerade.

As we ease into October I've been thinking a lot about Halloween and the idea of costuming and masquerade. Many people gain inspiration for Halloween costumes from the clothing they find in movies. For this week's Buzzworthy challenge, let's take a look at those movies that feature some of the best costumes ever. They can be Oscar winners, like Amadeus or Lord of the Rings, or just movies where you admired the costumes, like Elizabeth or even Clueless.

Team members KerryG and tdamji already got us started a while ago by bookmarking a ton of movies with great costumes, so check out their picks, second the ones you also love, and add your own!

Just use Buzzsugar's cool bookmarking tool to bookmark your favorite costume flicks online and tag them with the phrase costume movies. I'll post some readers' picks here next week.

You can also now make a list of your picks. Here are mine:

With so many great young actors working right now, it was fun to present the Clueless recast and watch the awesome lists roll in. I can definitely see Amanda Bynes as Cher, like so many of you suggested, though I also enjoyed WhiplashGirlchild's idea of Mandy Moore, and I would love to see "Ugly Betty"'s Becki Newton in the role, as alethe16 mentioned.

I also like PrissyLilBadAss's casting choice of Zoe Saldana for Dionne, and dropstar's idea to put Al Pacino in the role of Cher's gruff-but-lovable daddy. Overall, however, my favorite cast list comes from smugirl!

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

Ah, Clueless. The rich kids' angst, the high school caste system, the pretty girl who's actually really smart, the weird step-sibling romance... what's not to love? Alicia Silverstone, Donald Faison, Brittany Murphy, and the others were truly priceless in their roles, but who would you cast in their parts today, 12 years later?

Leave your entry in the comment section below, and I'll pick one winner to feature Tuesday, May 8, complete with a "new" cast photo. To see a list of characters to recast and a photo of the BuzzSugar t-shirt, read more

GAP Canvas Tote Bag: Love It or Hate It?

What a funny looking little tote.

What a funny looking little tote. This tote reminds me of that famous line from Clueless where the redhead just got a nose job and she says, "Excuse me, but my plastic surgeon requested that I refrain from any activity that involves balls flying in my face" and the fab Dionne responds: "Well there goes your social life." Classic! So, I know this Canvas Tote Bag is only $17, what do you all think? Love this little dude or hate it?
