As If You Didn't Want to Be Totally Clueless This Halloween

It goes without saying that we are big Clueless fans here at Fab, and for good reason: the 1995 coming-of-age tale is completely engrained in our memories, not just for the hilarious lines and plot twists, but for the over-the-top, semiridiculous fashion.

It goes without saying that we are big Clueless fans here at Fab, and for good reason: the 1995 coming-of-age tale is completely engrained in our memories, not just for the hilarious lines and plot twists, but for the over-the-top, semiridiculous fashion. There's no better time to be completely fearless with your fashion choices than Halloween, which is why we're advocating that you dress up as Cher, Dionne, and Tai for your big night. We've rounded up everything you need for a totally clueless Halloween costume — so grab some friends (preferably one with braids?) and shop these pieces faster than you can say, "You're a virgin who can't drive."

Whatever you do, don't wear a watch: a watch doesn't go with this outfit!

Video: How Clueless, Like, Totally Changed Our Lives

With Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash, aka Cher and Dionne, gracing the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Reunions Issue, we have the perfect excuse to revisit our color-coordinated nostalgia for Clueless.

With Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash, aka Cher and Dionne, gracing the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Reunions Issue, we have the perfect excuse to revisit our color-coordinated nostalgia for Clueless. Even though it's been 17 years since Amy Heckerling's teen movie masterpiece blew our middle-school minds, we still feel a giddy joy whenever we hear "I Want to Be a Supermodel" — or see a badly parked Jeep Wrangler. What other film can claim teaching an entire generation of young women about everything from the power of persuasion to purple clogs? In this special PopSugar Rush, we divulge why we'll always give Clueless an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Cher, Get in Here! How to Nail That Clueless-Inspired '90s Prep Look

Our world was forever changed (and infinitely enhanced) after watching Clueless for the first time in 1995.

Our world was forever changed (and infinitely enhanced) after watching Clueless for the first time in 1995. The epic rom-com, in its purest form, is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma with a Beverly Hills twist. But for those of you who have watched it as many times as we have, you know that it also happens to be a movie filled with hilariously memorable one-liners, spot-on meta '90s commentary, and really, really fun fashion.

Ringleader Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone), along with BFFs Dionne and Tai, gravitated toward a mix of '90s prep-school pieces. It's all about a bolder, sexed-up brand of schoolgirl charm for this crew, from pleated plaid miniskirts, sharp collared blouses, and cropped cardigan sets to knee-high socks and Mary Janes. Lest we forget, Dionne's bright leather skirts, printed bandannas, and Dr. Seuss-worthy vinyl top hats certainly added that extra element of interest. We know the dramatized plaids, platform pumps, and feather boa accents aren't necessarily school-appropriate, but trust us, the Clueless uniform definitely translates into today's dress code. Just stick to that overt schoolgirl silhouette — cozy cashmere sweaters, classic pleated skirts, over-the-knee socks (Madewell makes a great pair), and an updated cap-toe Mary Jane pump. As for the after-school set, Cher's Calvin Klein slip dress and now-iconic Alaïa LRD still remain viable evening ensemble options. Before you start spouting off your favorite Clueless quotes (which we're totally OK with), it's time to snag the movie-inspired pieces that will "mesh well" with your back-to-school wardrobe. Is Cher From Clueless Still a Beauty Icon Worth Emulating?

In the Urban Outfitters beauty department, the current beauty icon is Cher from Clueless.

In the Urban Outfitters beauty department, the current beauty icon is Cher from Clueless. Urban lets you shop her "look," complete with loads of white eye shadow, pink lipstick, and bronzer. But while I've always adored Cher, Dionne, and Tai, I don't see their styles having particular resonance right now. Sure, the '90s are back (and way too soon, in my opinion), but I just don't see the makeup and hair from the period making a similar return. After all, for the last few seasons, we've been moving toward a soft "no product" style, and a lot of makeup from the 1990s looks harsh to current eyes. Would you still want to look like Cher, or do you prefer to think of her as an icon whose look helped get us here but isn't necessarily something you'd want to copy?

Calvin Klein Recreates Iconic Clueless Dress

Cher's wardrobe in Clueless literally changed my life and apparently I’m not alone: Ilaria Urbinati, celebrity stylist and co-owner of the L.A.

Cher's wardrobe in Clueless literally changed my life and apparently I’m not alone: Ilaria Urbinati, celebrity stylist and co-owner of the L.A. boutique Confederacy, gushed about her love of the film’s fashion when she was introduced to Calvin Klein Creative Director Francisco Costa. "I sort of geeked out on him, [explaining] how my formative-years love of Calvin Klein was partly based on the little white minidress Alicia Silverstone wears in Clueless," Urbanati told us. "I reenacted the entire scene with Cher and her father—'Cher, what are you wearing?' 'A dress!' 'Says who?' 'Calvin Klein!'—and of course I said, ‘Francisco, you need to remake that dress!'"

Vintage Geek: Smokin' Hot Tech From Clueless

I heard from Buzz the other day that Clueless might be getting a sequel!

I heard from Buzz the other day that Clueless might be getting a sequel! Although I'm usually a little wary of "part two's," I couldn't help but remember all the fun I had watching the original flick back in 1995. I mean, for a film in the mid '90s about high school kids, this movie was pretty geeky. It was full of big candy bar cell phones, laptops, and pagers. Yes, pagers. Remember those? I was obsessed with getting one until 1996 just because of it.

I took a trip down memory lane and watched Clueless last night. Even though spotting all the tech throughout the movie was pretty fun, I do have one favorite scene in the movie. I think you know what it is. Check it out in the clip above.
