Callan McAuliffe on The Great Gatsby Interview (Video)

Callan McAuliffe plays a young Jay Gatsby in the upcoming The Great Gatsby, and when we spoke with him this weekend at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in LA, we asked him how he prepared to tackle the role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Callan, who admitted that he hated reading the book in school simply because it was mandatory, also talked about how Baz Luhrmann put a new spin on the classic. In fact, Callan even got a sneak peek at some of the 3D action.
