The news of the Smurfs turning 50 this week has gotten me thinking about other favorite cartoons of my childhood. I used to love waking up super-early (I know!) to sneak in a few hours of cartoons before school or weekend activities, and I was particularly fond of She-Ra: Princess of Power and Jem and the Holograms. For a while, there were some great after-school cartoons going on, too, including DuckTales! What was your favorite?

When I was younger, I used to watch reruns of the Hanna Barbera cartoons on cartoon network. I loved the Laff-A-Lympics!
1OMG - i can't believe you reminded us of Jen and She-Ra! i used to watch both of those religiously. ducktales was up there too since it was on the afternoon line up. i used to watch the USA cartoons too - so there was shirt-tales and the smurfs and the snorks too.
2I was all about Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies!
