With the new year comes a whole new set of hopes, dreams, and goals to fulfill, and while I'm making my own resolutions, I'm also thinking about what I want my entertainment to be like in 2009. I've been sharing some thoughts about what I'm looking forward to in the coming year, but for now, I'm wondering: What are your big entertainment hopes for 2009?
I'll start: I hope there's no actors' strike, I hope Privileged gets renewed, I hope the film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are actually hits theaters, and I hope that Damages, Mad Men, and Lost stay strong in their upcoming new seasons.

I hope I don't hate "The Lovely Bones" because of Mark Whalberg.
I hope Speidi DIAF or just go away.
I hope the end of BSG is amazing and I cry like a little baby.
I hope Barney and Robin get together!
I probably have more but I can't think of them.
1I also hope that there is no actor's strike. I hope "New Moon" survives all the director drama and sticks to the novel storyline, and comes out ASAP. And I REALLY hope Heidi and Spencer do not get as much air time as they did in 08 (this includes on PopSugar).
2I hope Friday Night Lights has a successful season on network tv, that Mad Men continues to be awesome, that this season of Big Love is great, that Damages does well and that Two and A Half Men goes away sooner than later.

ahahahaha me too. I had the misfortune of catching it a few times and it's awful. Actually all "sit-coms" are awful except HIMYM.
4I'm with you Buzzsugar where the actors' strike is concerned.
I hope Lost stays strong and starts delivering answers to the serious issues (we are really running out of time).
I also hope that Desperate Housewives finds its way back to top form (I can still dream, right?)
All in all, I hope there are interesting TV shows and movies and a little sth for every taste.
5I hope Lipstick Jungle stays on. Or I'd be happy if they did a spin-off (with a better name) just featuring Victory.
Love that character.
6I hope people pay more attention to CSI(I mean with awards)
I hope that the Hills gets canceled.
7I am so excited for LOST to return at the end of the month, but I hope that it manages to survive all the hype.
8I also really wish that awards shows would have a revival and make an impact like they did a few years' back.
Arrested Development the Movie. Plenty more 'It's always Sunny' and 'Psych'.
9Friday Night Lights. I broke down and watched it online, and now I'm super excited to watch it again on a large screen!! After a rocky sophomore season this season is so good, so everybody watch it!!!
10I hope Shopaholic is as amazing as Sex and the City movie was, and ditto for Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing (one of my very favorite books, which I believe is coming out as a movie this year.) I am also still holding out hope for a Veronica Mars movie. Please Rob Thomas! Pleaaasssee!
11I wish for Grey's Anatomy to get better, I hope the new director of the Twilight series does New Moon the justice it deserves, and I hope Booth and Bones kiss and realize they are meant for each other.
12I HOPE WATCHMEN COMES OUT WHEN PLANNED.

131. I wish you never put the idea of an actors' strike in my head, Buzz (how annoying would that be... like writer's strike... BUT WORSE!)
2. House grows a pair and does something about his Cuddy situation
3. Australia renews fast tracking American TV (so annoying, they are still showing seaso 3 of House and Season 1 of Bones etc.)
4. A movie adaptation of Uglies, Pretties and Specials finally goes into production
5. Aaron from Gossip Girl dies
6. A JAM WEDDING!!!!!!!
7. Jason Segal starring in another Judd Aptow movie

15I hope that TV stops being ridiculous. I can honestly say I don't watch any new TV sitcoms or dramas because most of them are (in my opinion) not worth my time.
I hope Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out on time in July!
I hope that Jason Statham comes to my door and tells me how much he loves me and that he can't live without me...how's that for a dream???

17Pushing Daisies sticking around somehow would be nice. If not I want a movie.

having great albums to buy. I'm already waiting for a new Bat For Lashes and hoping for a new Fiery Furnaces and maybe to discover some new favorite artists who aren't hyped up the second I hear of them.
I wish that...
- there will be no actors' strike
18- Pushing Daisies will somehow be renewed (or at least made into a movie)
- Better TV shows will come on TV
- Lost will be as good, if not better, than last season or season 1
- Harry Potter will turn out well
- Angelina Jolie or Kate Winslet wins an Oscar
