Buzz In: What Are Your Biggest Oscar Hopes?

If you were to make a wish list for the 2009 Academy Awards, who and what would be on it? What movie are you rooting for in the Best Picture category? Is the Best Costumes category near and dear to your heart? Are you so hoping this will finally be Kate Winslet's year to take home the gold? Do you wish for there to be a shocking win in any of the categories that seem like a lock?

There's still time to fill out a ballot with your predictions for who will win, but as far as how you wish the Academy would vote, what wins would make you the happiest this Sunday?

I want Wall-E to win both sound awards, and for Anne Hathaway to win for Best Actress. She was phenomenal in that movie.

I agree with Tulipe. Slumdog isn't my favorite to win Best Picture. I haven't seen Milk, though (and I'm FROM San Francisco!). I personally loved Benjamin Button and am holding out hope that it'll win, but...Slumdog will probably take the top honors because it's so damn inspiring.

It's gonna sound weird and bitter but I don't want Slumdog Millionaire to win Best Picture. I'm all for Best Director to Danny Boyle because he did an incredible work with this film but overall, I thought the story was VERY cliché and the actors not that good. MILK would be my choice for Best Picture. But since the Oscars are not known for their originality, I think that my wish will stay unanswered... (but then, you never know)

My Oscar hopes were to be able to see everything, which I mostly have. So I'm pretty set!

Topping my list would be that Sean Penn would win the best actor award. He was phenomenal in Milk. Second would be that Kate takes home the award for best actress. And third, that Slumdog Millionaire sweeps its categories.
