Buzz In: What Will Be This Year's Most Overdone Pop Culture Costume?

It wouldn't be Halloween without tons of people dressed up like their favorite pop culture icons; in the past few years I've seen countess Amy Winehouses, Sarah Palins, and Madonnas. The ideas lose a lot of their originality when they're all over the place, and I'm sure there will plenty of costume repeats this weekend.

Right off the bat I'm expecting to see more than one Kate Gosselin and Lady Gaga, not to mention Michael Jacksons of all ages. What about you — what's your prediction for the most overdone Halloween costume of 2009? Oh, and if you need a last-minute idea yourself, check out my suggestions for a movie-inspired costume.

I'm going to be in Ft. Collins, CO for Halloween, so I've decided against going as the Heene's and Balloon Boy. Too easy and obvious. :)

If you're set on doing an overdone costume, it's cool, but to make it original you can do it with a twist. Go as Lady Gaga going as a Mummy (red lace mummy?). Or Avril Lavigne as a Dead Bride. How hot would that be?! While I'd love to try those ideas myself, my body type doesn't really work for that right now. So I'm going as a Vampire-d Ugly Betty. One of my friends is going as a Vampire so put some bite marks on my neck. She bit me!! *hiss* ;)

GagGag surely would be the scariest costume this season, but I hope to see lots of Trekkies...an actually handsome Captain Kirk or two would be fun to see at the clubs.

I NEVER understood that, kimbo!!!!! I grew up in New England and would have to wear winter gear basically to actually go trick or treat. FREEZING.

My friend is going as Gaga and I'm actually disappointed that she's decided against the "no pants" thing. It's just not authentic Gaga if you're not without pants!

It's OK! I'm wearing pants (well, black shiny leggings). So, it's not authentic Lady Gaga, I supposed, but I think the idea will still come across.I don't get people in cold environments who wear barely there Halloween costumes. It doesn't make sense to me.

Michael Jackson obviously, and Lady Gaga... people want excuses to not wear pants (sorry kimbo :) I'm just saying in regards to the really dumb Gaga costumes some girls I know have concocted)
