This was not a good week for me and reality TV. First, the fabulous Natalie Reid got sent home early in the Vegas rounds of So You Think You Can Dance without so much as a chance to dance for her life. Hoping to cleanse my palate from that surprise elimination, I flipped over to Make Me a Supermodel, only to see Branden — admittedly hot, but my least favorite of the remaining three — go home with the modeling contract and the $100,000.

While I know it's silly to get upset over TV shows, I still experience what I like to call "reality rage." Typically, this affliction crops up when a contestant who bugs me wins, or when a favorite gets eliminated too soon (for example, I know people who still complain about Alison Kelly getting kicked off Project Runway a couple of years back). But it can also happen when something happens that makes me question why I devoted all those hours to watching the show in the first place, like Jason dumping Melissa for Molly on The Bachelor — or his Bachelor predecessor, Brad, choosing nobody.
I can't be alone in this, so I'm wondering: What reality TV victories, eliminations, or other decisions have made you mad?

I agree about the Branden thing. Honestly he had the best pictures, but his walk was so geeky! hehe I wish Jonathon could have won but
I like Branden MUCH better then Sandhurst.
1Teyona winning ANTM springs to mind, as does Saleisha. In fact, that show is full of them. Heck, I'm still mad that Joanie didn't win a few years back.
2Joanie not winning ANTM.
Travis Wall not winning SYTYCD (S2).
3Allison Holker and Natalie Fotopolos getting voted off SYTYCD (S2).
Katee Shean not making final 2 on SYTYCD (S4).
Natalie Reid cut in Vegas (SYTYCD S5).
i have to agree that SYTYCD really made me mad this season. how could they just send natalie home like that? i wonder if she'll come back for season 6?
the one that always bothers me though is on 'America's next top model'. they NEVER pick the right girl. it's always the runner up that should win...but i guess that it makes sense because major designers wouldn't want their face to be the ANTM winner right?
4What was that all about with Natalie this year? Seriously, they gave that stupid tapper, Silky a second chance and not her!?
5Speaking of Natalie, I spoke to her: she said she's had some other opportunities that would interfere with the show, so she likely won't be auditioning for S6.
Also--Lil C tweeted that they get to dance for their lives when the decision is NOT unanimous and that "you have to take the genre into account." Whatever that means.
6yes the Natalie, sytycd debacle. I was angry they cut her so coldly after sonya's choreo, especially after sonya singled her out.... & then they chose to keep giving gabi a chance over and over
no opportunity to dance for her life or anything....
they seemed to cut alot of the people they introduced to us in during the auditions...
7I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm actually glad Branden won.
I would say most of my rage-filled reality tv moments have been courtesy of Top Model.
8Hmmm. I guess sports are the original reality TV so the Nuggets losing games 1 and 3 to the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. I was pretty upset.
9Ha, kia, love that !
10I agree with all the people who said Top Model. The last time I really liked the winner of the show was way back when Nicole won. That was like 6 seasons ago!
11joanie and kahlen not winning antm
12Natalie being cut was stupid. I'm no professional dancer but I thought she was a heck of a lot better than some of those girls in the top 20.
13I'm so upset about Natalie too...I don't understand, the judges said they couldn't keep pulling for her..was she in danger at all during the week?? I think she totally got the shaft!
14I missed Make Me A Supermodel this week, I was rooting for Sandhurst...but anyone but Branden really. Top Model has also been off of its game, I haven't been satisfied with the winners since Eva Pigford won. Kelly getting kicked off of PR did suck...and so did Santino Rice not winning. I thought he had it in the bag. Oh well, there's always next season.
15Clay Aiken not winning American Idol. I can't say I'm a fan of his or have ever bought any of his albums, but I was really disappointed when Ruben won over him. But apparently, it didn't matter in the long run, as Clay is way more successful than Ruben.
16Joan Rivers winning that last "Celebrity Apprentice" was really disappointing. It was so obviously biased - I don't think I'll be watching anymore.
Also, Hosea winning the last "Top Chef."
17Branden winning, he didn't deserve it, he's good but still learning his craft. The other 2 were perfect, with a strong portfolio and catwalk. If you were sending someone to represent you, would you want the person who could give a good photo 50% of the time or someone you know you could count on to be great? I also don't like that it gave the message that giving your best, and being the best consistently throughout the competition, doesn't mean you're going to win. I just don't understand their thinking. Last week Branden gave a bad photo and all of a sudden he gives one good one this week and he's won?! It doesn't make sense.
18Liza, I disagree. I think Branden has consistently grown. I was actually kind of confused by their criticism of his photo last week. I thought it was the best of the bunch. I understand that his film wasn't good because he screamed during the photo shoot, but if I just saw the pictures, I would have picked his, hands down. The judges even commented that he looked like Billy Idol, what could be more rock and roll than that?
And why should giving your best mean that you should win? I always thought that was a silly argument. I could give my best at a modeling competition, but I would never win because I'm only 5'2". Regardless, I think they all gave their best. I thought the other two had some poor pictures, as well. Branden also has a look that's a lot more current; he can't do swimwear and underwear as well as the other two, but he's much better for slim fitting suits, like the Ben Sherman ones they wore.
19Ilan winning top chef and not Marcel
Teyona and Saleshia winning ANTM, BS Tyra....BS.
20I usually get over it pretty quick, but no way Hosea should have won this season's Top Chef. That's the one that got me the worst. I wanted Jonathan to win Model, but I think they gave it to Branden b/c he was the most improved.
I agree with everyone about Natalie from the other night. That was insanely rude the way they did that and she seemed much better than some of the girls they let in.
21ADAM LAMBERT FTW!
22Alexis Grace leaving Idol way too early and definitely Natalie from SYTYCD - they should have at least let her dance for her life. And why didn't Sonya speak up for her?
23Branden winning was really a joke to me. I don't think he's really all that "model-like" I think Sandhurst is all around better and should have won. Jonathon's "air lats" issue had me laughing ever episode, he needed to learn to hold his arms.. And Joanie not winning ANTM, like others have mentioned, really irked me, I didn't watch the season after that because of that decision.
24I was so mad that Branden won. I was rooting for Jonathan. With his incredible photos and James Bond walk what's not to love? But no the judges decided on the guy that finally stepped it up at the last minute. I mean if not Jonathan at least Sandhurst. But at least it was a good final 3.
25I'm also mad that Kahlen, Joanie, Melrose, and Sam didn't win Top Model.
Michael Johns' elimination on American Idol. It wasn't even so much that he went home, it was the way in which they went about his elimination. He was eliminated during Idol Gives Back week and kind of built up the idea that he may not be eliminated. Then they sent him packing and that really made me mad. It was cruel. Also, the fact that Kristy and that girl who came in 3rd (I don't even remember her name) managed to place better than him also makes me a little mad.
Jasmine and Megan getting wildcard spots (which should have probably gone to Ricky and Jesse) and giving Tatiana the opportunity to compete in the wildcard show over people like Felicia and Ju'Not.
Letting people like Bikini girl get through to Hollywood on AI.
Taylor and Katharine being in the finale over Chris and Elliott in season 5 of AI.
The majority of the ANTM winners.
Wendy Pepper making it all the way to 3rd place on Project Runway.
I'm sure there's a lot more that I can't think of right now.
26i am ok with branden winning. i think the other two guys couldve been models without the show and have great careers ahead of them.
27I am really happy Branden won, the other 2 guys no doubt were great and consistent throughout the show, but Branden grew during the show and really proved himself in the end. Sandhurst and Jonathan will have no problem with their careers. But out of the 3 Branden has the look/body that most designers are looking for to put on their runway. I was rooting for Jonathan at first but Branden really grew on me, so yeah I think he deserved it because he got transformed into a supermodel and learned a lo along the way, and that's the point of the show right?
28modeling is a youth obsessed industry, so branden winning didn't surprise me considering he's only 18 compared to jonathan who i was rooting for, is 26. sandhurst was good, but i think his size was a problem because models need to fit the samples - jackets and pants were a problem for him because he's too tall and his quads are really developed. as for branden, i'm sure the agency will work on getting him fit and will teach him to walk better.
29I get rage but from totaly different shows than the rest of the people here.
