I don't often remember trailers for too long (and I'm guessing I'm not alone in that), so if they stick out in my mind they must have been truly memorable. I can still recall the trailer for Pineapple Express, which I thought was great, as were the trailers for The Dark Knight last year and, more recently, Where the Wild Things Are.
Now IFC has compiled a list of the 50 Greatest Trailers of All Time, and while viewing the list I had a few "Oh, yeah!" moments when I recalled certain trailers, like the one for Watchmen (with that Smashing Pumpkins song!), the one for Magnolia, and the one for last year's scary movie The Strangers. I'd probably add a trailer for one of Guy Ritchie's movies, like the frantic and amusing one for RocknRolla.
What movie trailers have stuck out to you?

Where the Wild Things Are is a beautiful trailer.
I always think Harry Potter trailers are very well made.
I loved the trailer for The Village.
1I think Cloverfield was awesome just because you had no idea what was happening or what to expect or anything. It was a great preview.
When I saw the LOTR preview for the first time I was like "OH HELL YES!" It looked so incredible, and it was. The whole trilogy was amazing.
2Where The Wild Things Are was really good. Also, this doesn't make it good in my book, but the trailer for the first Saw movie definitely stuck with me, in a totally creeped out for weeks afterward sort of way.
3That's a really random list.
I loved the trailer for Requiem for a Dream and A Clockwork Orange
4I know it hasn't come out yet. But I can't get enough of the "500 days of summer" trailer. I love the song in it- "Sweet Disposition" by The Temper Traps
5Lord of the Rings: Return of the King had a good trailer. So did Edward Scissorhands. But my all-time favorite is this one: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1925120281/
6How about this one? http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi3983409177/
7I haven't looked at the list yet, but I always loved the one for Psycho. Hitchcock was great
8The Matrix definitely as well as Cloverfield and Watchmen (although I thought the song in that trailer was by Muse). another one that I'm sure no one would think of is actually the trailer for The Dukes of Hazzard - don't get me wrong; the movie was a tupid piece of crap; but the trailer was so well put together with this great beat. I think I like The Matrix the best because it didn't follow any formula like most trailers do...
9lizlee -- There were multiple trailers. One did have a Muse song. The one w/ "The End is the Beginning is the End was awesome though". I know there are a lot of trailers that I have really liked, but it is hard to think of them when you haven't seen them in a while... Moulin Rouge sticks out though.
10i love the "where the wild things are" trailer. that use of arcade fire was epic. i also thought the trailer for my sister keeper was good, i remember seeing it and i got emotional
