Here's Brian Williams's Very Serious, Hilarious Bachelorette Commentary

Brian Williams is a news anchor, an amateur rapper, and . . . a Bachelorette fan? Sitting down with Seth Meyers on Monday, Williams opened up about his secret guilty pleasure, The Bachelorette, which is no longer a secret now that he's shared his very serious commentary about this season. Williams told the late-night host that he'd been invited to his daughter's invitation-only viewing party for the show, saying he's caught up on Andi's season and ready to weigh in with his opinions. Watch the pair's funny exchange above and see some of Williams's best Bachelorette commentary below:

  • On having nicknames for the guys: "We have nicknames for them all. Not all of them are suitable for family viewing, even at this hour — a lot of them based on hair. Hair preferences, fear of losing their hair . . ."
  • On the final four men and who might win: "One is wealthy, one's wrapped up in the NFL draft, the other has a mom who casts a heavy vote in the family, and the other's from Iowa, so I can't — just as I wouldn't speculate going into an election night, I can't speculate on the outcome."
  • On whether he'd ever host the show: "There are certain things I couldn't do with a straight face. I couldn't make that cursory, enter-the-room and say, 'And now, the final rose.'"
  • On the roses: "Why do they have to hold them like they're playing darts in a bar in Scotland? I've never understood the rose hold. Why two hands? It's a rose! Just fling it around, you know, have fun with it. Explore the space."
