Bond 22 Gets a New Title: Quantum of Solace

Reporters were informed today of the new title of what was previously Bond 22, and it's quite the mouthful: Quantum of Solace. For some reason I can't say this title without impersonating Sean Connery. It just sounds better that way. Anyway, the title was chosen from a story in the collection For Your Eyes Only by Bond creator Ian Fleming.

According to producer Michael G. Wilson "We thought it was an intriguing title and referenced what happened to Bond and what is happening in the film." The story picks up where the last film with Daniel Craig's Bond left off, "with Bond contemplating revenge after his betrayal by his true love, Vesper Lynd."

However, co-producer Barbara Broccoli (hee hee) insists this isn't a revenge movie, stating "It's a lot more complicated than that. It has lots of action but it also deals with the inner turmoil Bond is feeling."

What do you think of this new title? Is it appropriately James Bond-ish?

This is going to be a great movie. I love the Bon culture and style combined with the grit and reality that Craig brings. Part of his new look are his Tom Ford TF19 sunglasses. I am looking for a pair but the only place I've found it was siteforsight.com. They are officially authorized but do you guys have any other ideas?

The title's definitely a mouthful, but I'm sure I'll warm up to it by the time the film's released. Love me some Bond. :D

I think the title is very silly! And I agree with Karla Sugar - I want action Bond, not inner turmoil Bond. I feel like the series is taking itself way too seriously. It seems to be working for a lot of people, judging by how fantastic so many people thought Casino Royale was, but I miss the old days.

Love it but then again I love all the James bond movies. Daniel Craig is my second favorite, Sean being the first.

name sounds silly to me, and I do NOT want to see a Bond movie with "inner turmoil"... or emotions, or a lot of talking. I want action! I like D. Craig as Bond, but I did NOT like Casino Royale.

It could be named the CHASE FOR THE GOLDEN GREEN GOBLINS I'd still go see it as long as Daniel Craig is BOND....gosh he make's me have hormonal rushes. :::THUNK:::

The title is weird but the plot sounds intriguing. That photo of Daniel Craig is also a nice midmorning treat.

oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I feel like the little girl in "Little Miss Sunshine" finding out that I got into the beauty pageant! I can't agree with Aistea311 more. Daniel Craig is a badass. Peirce Brosnan fit into that role like Tommy Boy in the little suit ("Fat Guy in a little suuuuit!"). Oh, and Quantum anything is super sweet... more so than the buzzword (little plug for you buzz-people) "Nano-something" aka Apple. e.g. Quantum computing, Quantum Leap (best tv show ever), Quantum WHATEVER! w00t!

I cant wait. I think Daniel Craig is one of the best additions to this movie since Sean Connery.
