Woody Allen has kept mum about the plot of his upcoming film, Blue Jasmine, which makes the release of the film's first trailer even more satisfying. Cate Blanchett stars as a high-society woman who loses everything when her husband (Alec Baldwin) is identified as a crook and the government seizes all of their money. Left with no choice, she moves cross-country to San Francisco to live with her sister (Sally Hawkins) but has a little trouble adjusting to the new setting, including her sister's working-class friends, played by Louis C.K., Bobby Cannavale, and Andrew Dice Clay. She also might be going slightly crazy.
Besides this being an Allen film, I am very intrigued by this movie for several reasons, like Baldwin as a scheming scumbag. And I can't wait to see all of these comedians (including the resurrected Clay!) play supporting roles. The movie is set for a July 26 release, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.
